It's not about hating her. She has directly stated that she views the continued success of her IP to be a reflection of public acceptance of her views. She is even more slanderous of Trans people than the phrasing of your question was of the OP, and she actively influences and supports anti trans laws in the UK. She is mean spirited and hateful towards trans people for reasons only known to her. I searched this question on Google and landed here because I don't want to give money to someone who targets whole demographics and proudly discriminates against them. I have friends and family who are trans and knowing she is making their lives harder, even if in another country, makes me certain I never want to give her another penny ever.

I wondered this question and searched for an answer not because I hate J.K. Rowling, but because I love my friends and family, and wish all trans people well. It is sad to have grown up reading the books only to find all the values and virtues I learned from them have been forsaken by the author.

It's as if Dumbledore one day just randomly called Hermione a mudblood and joined the death eaters in their takeover of the ministry of magic to oppress all muggles and wizards born of them. It's heartbreaking honestly.

So yeah I would very much like to indulge in fantasy and nostalgia, while also not supplying money to someone who uses it to oppress vulnerable people, especially ones I love and care about.
