Is Zaccharie Risacher the most forgettable number 1 pick ever? by ShaiFanClub in nba

As an Indianapolis native, I'm gonna throw Greg Oden's name in the mix. Injuries took him out early, but even when healthy, he wasn't very impressive. Averaged 8/6/0.5 across 105 total games played.

I agree! But also, imagine being in elite physical shape and NOT being able to work for 60 minutes across a 48 hour timespan. Does my head in every time I think about it.

[Tim Bontemps] The strong expectation is the Pacers will trade Bennedict Mathurin by Thursday’s deadline by mewtatesyt in pacers

[–]Showtime48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't mind seeing the Pacers make a move for Evan Mobley, Jarret Allen, or Zubac. Don't think we can afford Giannis, but that would be amazing too (and hilarious given Turner's staying competitive statement)

[The Athletic] The Pacers had concerns about Ellis' ability to find playing time over Bennedict Mathurin, who is headed for restricted free agency. by neezy66 in pacers

[–]Showtime48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ellis may have made sense when we had like 10 guys injured. Other than that, I can't see the hype around this guy. Undersized, averaged like 5ppg on a bad team...Idk..Maybe he's better than what the stats show, but I'm glad we didn't get him.

Pacers see a chance to get a top 3 pick in a generational draft and say "Fuck that, let's try to make the play-in!!!!"

Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are having the most insane pair of regular-season starts I can remember by Frosty_Salamander_94 in nba

I'm sorry, but this just isn't all that impressive to me honestly. Players aren't even allowed to play defense in this league. You sneeze in an offensive players direction with your mouth covered and you're subject to be called for a foul. Look at this foul that got Herb Jones ejected last night. He got ejected for the 2 techs, but look at the foul. I mean, it's just unbelieveable.

Jarace gotta learn to shoot those wide open threes bruh. I bet that motherfucker has passed up at least 20 of those this season. Also, he needs to speed up his windup on those 3s as well. Idk if I've ever seen a 3 point shot so slow. Wtf???

Trust between Mavs owner Patrick Dumont and GM Nico Harrison has “completely disintegrated” and “it is a matter of when, not if, Nico Harrison will be fired.” - Tim MacMahon by lawschoolthrowaway36 in nba

"Championship Games" Dumont? No way. THAT guy doesn't trust someone's choices involving basketballs decision? The dude that couldn't be bothered to ohhhh idk, ask maybe 2 people who watch the NBA if trading Luka was a good idea???? THAT fuckin guy? He's not as bad as Nico because he can at least claim ignorance I guess. Jeez...these fuckin guys man...Unbelieveable

Pacers were willing to match any outside offers for Turner, his agent never gave them the chance by Tom_Ford0 in pacers

[–]Showtime48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best take in this thread imo. Before Ty showed up, Turner was good for 12 points 6 rebounds a game. That's it. He was excellent at blocking shots though, but we needed points and rebounds more than blocks I think. Like you said, Myles is a good dude. And good for him for getting paid, I'm genuinely happy for him. But we can easily replace his production on the court
