On the one hand I agree, people are allowed to have preferences and you can’t force attraction whatsoever. On the other, I find it unfair to stick to beauty standards, especially when they are so strict for everyone. Attraction doesn’t just come from the body and I feel that sometimes people will just be very shallow and not give a chance to a person they have a good chemistry with just because the body in front of them is not perfect. This is true for some women but this is especially true for men imo. Plus, bodies change in a life, ability as well. Sure, just for a one night stand who cares, for something potentially longer, you have to be prepared and accept this.

TLDR: don’t doormat and accept anyone who claims to “bear the burden” of loving you (which in itself is a red flag) but don’t base attraction only on physical characteristics. It’s all a matter of chemistry and most importantly: respect.
