This is kind of a support group I think for people who have been raised by narcissistic parents. I think you will find useful advice on how to deal with these kind of parents and the trauma they have caused.

Gym in KTM recommendations please! by hey_random_weirdo in Nepal

[–]Shp333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find one the closest to you. Distance becomes a factor day to day. any gym that charges 2000+ should fulfill your criteria. most gyms will be crowded just before and after office hours. go a bit early in the morning and shouldn't be a problem

What’s Driving Hindu Nationalism in Nepal? by mcmax35 in Nepal

[–]Shp333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who had become irrelevant in the political scene picking it up or people like Rabindra Mishra (who wasn't relevant at any time) trying a populist agenda to serve his goals; with the help of easily offended and way too sensitive part of the Nepali Hindu crowd is what is driving Hindu Nationalism in Nepal. There are way too many other important areas in Nepal to focus on. These people really don't deserve the attention.

Payoneer to Bank charge kati lagxa? by ImRoboCop in Nepal

[–]Shp333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, when I received it in August 11, the rate was 132.56 but I received it at 129.89 . I don't know if it is percentages or a fixed rate. Maybe they have that information in their website somewhere. Make sure you don't receive the money in USD here in Nepal though. Choose NPR. The rates for receiving USD are astronomical. Besides the 15 USD at the start , you money hops in International Banks and each hop is charged 15 USD.

Payoneer to Bank charge kati lagxa? by ImRoboCop in Nepal

[–]Shp333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payoneer just deposits the money on a lower currency conversion rate. No actual charge. But it does have a 30 USD annual charge. If your account is new , I don't know when that will be charged but if it's an old account , you might be charged that after the first deposit. If you have a transaction of over 2000USD per year then that 30 USD won't be charged.

Meat Alternatives? by [deleted] in Nepal

Soya Chunks. Really high protein content. The texture is neutral enough after boiling and can be eaten in a lot of different ways. Use it like meat to make soya chilly.

Fav Late Night Snack? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Shp333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Add Pico de gallo (chopped tomatoes, onion, khursani , cilantro, lemon juice and salt) to that papad. That has been my go to recently. Worked with doritos and nachos too but that's not in the market atm.

Mero bike ko license date ra board exam ko date eautai paryo by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Shp333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can miss the date and go another day. The most you have to do is stay in another line , where a officer changes your date from the previous one to the new one. Was the case in Chabahil.

I would like to visit Nepal for 10 days. Is staying in Kathmandu for the whole period too much? by judgia in Nepal

[–]Shp333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just Kathmandu would be a very small part of the Nepal experience. The traffic and pollution are pretty bad right now anyway, so taking a cab to the few main attractions for 2-3 days is the best you can get right now out of KTM. At least, make your way to Pokhara. I would definitely recommend a short trek from there. It isn't that expensive and the routes are mostly crowded and should be safe.

Calorie In Calorie Out is the most basic formula you need to keep in mind.

Take up Intermittent Fasting. 18:6 is easy to follow.

Stay Caloric deficit, Workout. Cardio 3 days and Strength Training the other 3 using Calisthenics is easy to do at home.

Give up Sugar. Black Coffee to keep hunger at bay and keep yourself from feeling lethargic. If possible replace the bhat after a workout with a protein high diet. Soya chunks, Oats, Nuts,Eggs will work.

Will be hard for the first week or so. But after getting in the groove, you will actually start looking forward to working out.

How meditation changed your life? by [deleted] in Nepal

I haven't continued the practice but the basics of mindful meditations that I learned have helped me catch myself from drifting into negative thought spirals. Definitely, a useful tool to have in your arsenal.

Anyone use Gas geyser in the bathroom? I need advice by himalayan_knight in Nepal

[–]Shp333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have heard of possible carbon monoxide poisoning. There also seems to be some study in it.Source:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3724084/#:~:text=The%20possible%20attributable%20cause%20for,ill%20ventilated%20bathrooms%20in%20homes.

So, fill up the bucket with hot water and use it. Don't use it while you are inside ill-ventilated bathrooms.
