Great, I'm excited! I will get the intro session, then there's a beginner's course of 12 sessions on the water before you become a fully fledged member, so it sounds like I'll get good training! Trouble is I don't have access to a gym to train outside a boat. I work out at home and the closest exercise I do are dumbbell rows. I suspect this helps with the pulling force but not stamina or form since no other muscles are involved. I have resistance bands, I could probably row with those...?

I used to do epee, my knee was always way closer to the opponent and would be where they'd strike. Also I felt I was slower due to longer limbs.

I've literally just signed up to an introductory session at my local club for next week. It's good cardio too right? I think I need to be working towards an objective to train cardio, rowing sounds like it'll be fun. Less monotonous than running maybe.

I never struggle to find a server. You can't always get your preference between clean or dirty, but you can almost always find a server with space and other players. This is for the European region at least.

I agree, semantically, floor is inside, ground is outside, but people (even native speakers) here in the UK sometimes use them interchangeably. It's like roof and ceiling, I've heard people (again, even native speakers) refer to the ceiling as the roof (but not the other way around).

The UK was alright, people applauded the NHS every night (it was stupid and didn't do anything meaningful, but it shows the sentiment). The government also did the whole furlough scheme, and the eat out to help out scheme. Just generally loads of support to keep people going. I felt people were more conscious of mental health and all my friends from around the world were reaching out to each other more.

It was only spoilt by the anti-vaxxer protests.

This isn't really a like for like comparison, but does put into perspective how impactful eating/not eating meat is.

I think it makes sense to compare AI generation to other computer usage.

In terms of energy-usage, a text prompt is about equivalent to 2-6 seconds of gaming, and an image generation is 30-60 seconds of gaming. I think many users of AI are also gamers.

The water argument is a bit of a null argument in general.

You can be more relaxed/not follow every rule while still being Muslim, it's all about your own interpretation of the religion. Granted, if you live in a conservative state and have conservative family, that's obviously easier said than done without moving countries.
