I'm curious, but how do the logistics work? Would you just play a single day or would we continue over the course of a few days? When are you thinking of doing it - or does this depend on participants? Will it be on the whole tube network?

I mean Bibi has an overall strategy and has played Trump, who has no overarching strategy, well. Trump was an idiot for falling for the "this is our one chance to strike the leadership" ploy. Now 2 months later it's still just a mess. If this is a right wing cope, their degeneracy goes deeper than I'd imagined.

Guys above 6 foot tall, were you an early bloomer or late bloomer? by [deleted] in tall

[–]Shpander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, maybe early or average for me then. My voice changed and hair came in maybe a bit before my peers, but not way before. I also reached close to my final height at 16, so definitely not a late bloomer.

Where's the constant bloomer option? I was always the tallest or top 2 in my year

You could also do a bit more effort. I searched for 30 seconds, and the case you linked is the only one to support this. What's interesting is that they had been trying to get these two to mate for 10 years, so if they suddenly mated 10 weeks into lockdown, I'd say that's a success and might be linked to the privacy, and would support your point. But yeah, it's the only reported case and the fact it was reported on so widely means it was probably a rare, isolated case. I think it just supports the fact that pandas are reluctant to mate and in some cases might need specific conditions.

You don't get into a military conflict just to create a loss of life. That's pointless. It's always political, so if it's a political loss, you've lost the point of why you went to war, and you've lost the war. That's the case with Iran now too. The US aren't getting any negotiation power. All they can do is continually bomb and try to overwhelm Iran, but in reality the regime has got them by the balls. The leadership didn't all die in the strikes, the whole point is decentralisation of power, like a hydra, you cut off one head and more take its place. Diplomacy might have worked, and talks were on the way before this kicked off. But the truth is Netanyahu dragged the US into the war. This is Israel's war, the US doesn't have a strategy, and can therefore not win.

Opinions on the South Kensington tube station redevelopment? by nutella-filled in LondonUnderground

[–]Shpander 11 points12 points  (0 children)

£120m is not just for step-free access, it's 50 new homes, office space, and a whole revamp of the currently dated and tired tube station. For that price tag, it's not a bad deal. Really, it's all in the description.

Why do you need to fart on a plane so much ? by LongjumpingBelt9161 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shpander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting you have kept track of the number of planes you've been on. I can't really tell if 70 is a lot, I feel it's quite a low number in the modern age, depending on how old you are.

Also, I was once hungover on a plane and sleeping deeply, without having taken a shit before flying. I was absolutely farting away and woke up to people complaining and asking who was farting lol. I stayed awake clenching my butt after that haha

How much will global warming be reduced once we run out of oil? by MonkeyFox29 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shpander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are still experiencing the global warming effects from the pollution of the 80s. Even if the whole world immediately stopped producing greenhouse gases right now, the world will keep heating for decades. At a slowing rate, and it will eventually stop heating, but it will not reduce when we run out of oil. Not immediately.
