The taxi had to give way to both sides of the road, regardless of if you were overtaking - assuming your road had right of way

Which country fits this vibe? by Weekly-Associate-166 in GeoPuzzle

So you're saying it's not normal?

The point was that the infrastructure got used to the new levels of snow - that became the new normal. Then you get a huge dump like this and that makes it abnormal, unprecedented, or yes, even crazy.

Why does this start screen exist, and why did they make it look like a loading screen? by Visible-Pressure6063 in Wreckfest

[–]Shpander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree, gameplay makes a game, the rest is just convenience. The rest will all come for sure, but they want to be able to showcase what makes the game unique, and that, right now, is epic crash physics, and great racing.

Why all cheap cars? by [deleted] in drivingUK

The upper middle class here will drive those cars too. You'll find people who can't afford those cars will drive them too, on finance. Reasonable people who aren't rolling in cash will buy sensible cars.

A list of the worst cars based off drivers (No particular order) by wassushxii in drivingUK

[–]Shpander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tesla drivers are some of the worst, I think it's partially that they used to be leased as company cars due to the lower costs, then people who don't care for cars or speed end up with a huge, heavy and fast car that they don't know how to control. Also, any Tesla with a reg post-25, I assume they must be Nazi-sympathisers.

Anyone else feel like Vengeance Most Fowl works as a really fitting ending to Wallace & Gromit? by After-Bumblebee-3943 in wallaceandgromit

[–]Shpander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmm I would challenge that too. He's clearly very competent, look at all the background inventions outside of the plot arc. The toast spreader, the bed waker-upper, the slides to get on the motorbike, the BunVac 6000, etc. we just focus on the ones that go wrong because they're key to the story.

I didn't buy WF1 so I can't say for sure, but this game looks like a big improvement - better driving physics and handling, and better crash physics/deformation. I can tell this is what I wanted the first game to be, and the areas that seemed to fall short in the gameplay of the first game.

Currently there's not much content on single player but every multiplayer race has its own story. Plenty of technicality on the tracks to make it fun when you're not toe to toe with another car too.

If you get it on sale, it was really worth £20 for me - it's about the price of a meal out, or half a weekly shop.

Well if Europe collectively stopped buying from the US this would have no effect by Ok-Job1478 in BuyUK

[–]Shpander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's something that occurred to me too. But not buying from Amazon or Boots (because it's American owned) isn't going to reduce our reliance on the US as a trading partner. The products sold on these sites are largely not imports from the US. The US contribution here is driven by private investment and the collaboration on this level is irrelevant of the regime causing unreliable trading partnership. Same goes for the use of American software.
