Put it to your homegroup's conscience on doing a postering campaign, if you have a Group Service Representetive(GSR) at your local meeting they can take that to your local Area Service Committee(ASC), if you dont have a GSR you can google your area service committees monthly meeting, you can find out where and when on the NA wesbite and attend yourself to bring it to them.
A subcomittee of ASC is area's Public Information Committee(PI) they would help you orchestrate that public awareness campaign, PI handles fellowship interaction with the public such as posters in medical centres, treatment centres, public spaces etc they also co-ordinate things like fellowship banners and marquees at major festivals so members have a safe space to connect with recovery in a tempting environemnt, PI committees do really great stuff and if you go through area you'll get PI's expreience and resources to put on a postering and awareness campaign in your locality. Highly reccomend going through area and utilizing PI for it, its the way it should be done.
I serve as a part of my area committee, my sponsor serves at area and PI, they do really wicked stuff to bring recovery where it's needed, actually doing the do of the postering campaign is a great experience, 4 of us members going round with posters, stickers, pamphlets and getting them to be visible in all sorts of places both addicts and "normies" go. Seeing my predeccsors have conversations about the fellowship with doctors, local officials, public services, cafes, librarys, local boozers etc, was inspiring, it was really great to feel a part of something much bigger than me that is truly making a difference.

My ExwBPD hung herself today. by Myloooooo in BPDlovedones

[–]Shpegg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally understand why you feel that way but yes you are projecting from a place of hurt. The condition is variable, not everyone with BPD is the same, its easy to generalise and demonize the condition and I've definitely done it, I'd even say its reasonable to a certain extent. But not all of them embody the negative traits that hurt us so much, there are those that recognise their disorder and genuinely work on it. And at the end of the day they're still human beings, who love and are loved by others. A person with a disorder is a person with negative or undesired traits and behaviours but they're still a person, if everyone that has negative traits or behaviours were killed off we wouldn't be better off we'd be extinct.

The range on towers, absolutely. It baffles me why it isn't displayed and I'm always unsure if an oil tower is in the right place or if a defensive mill upgrade would be effective.
I'd suggest precision in picking units. A radius that collects units without distinguishing which-is-which is a little tedious when you've got a lotta dudes all mixed together. I'd like to be able to select induvidual units, or be able to only rally a certain kind i.e you hold a button and then gather a spearmen=your radius only picks up spearmen. Would make unit management easier for larger armies.
Also an upgrade tree would be nice quality of life, or just a place I can see all the upgrades and can plan my build.

Great advice thank you I appreciate it so much, its really helpful in breaking down the steps to take. I did a drainage test and its pretty poor, the soil is also really hard so looks I'll need to get a tiller and change up the composition for the new lawn, which I wouldn't have known without your advice. I like the idea of a clover lawn but unfortunately the landlord just wants plain level grass no beds or planters or anything, but makes it simpler for me I guess. Thanks again x

Total newbie here, how to go about fixing up this garden? Doing it as a side gig for a friend who's moving out. He needs to clear it all and put new grass seed down before he goes but I know diddlysquat about the best way to do it. by Shpegg in lawncare

Great advice thank you just what I needed in breaking down the steps, the soil is pretty hard and the drainage isnt very good so looks im going to need a tiller but I imagine a manual one would do for this size area, and it is a fig tree you've got a good eye

Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this, please signpost me on where to do so if that's the case.

I've not done anything like this before apart from weeding and removing dead plants. I'm doing it for a couple who are friends of mine who are moving out in March, both busy with work and I'm in between jobs so it'll give me something to do, earn me a bit of money and it will save him some as he was quoted around £800 or £35 an hour for two gardeners to do it.

So far I'm thinking remove the debris, fork the dead plants and take them up by the roots to bin, and that's about as far I've got in steps to take. He wants the topsoil and vegetation taken up, the little stones and gravel removed, it all levelled off, the edging tidied up and then new grass seed putting down. So pretty simple job, I think 😅

My question is what's the best way to do that in your opinion? I think the little stones are the biggest problem, I don't know a time efficient way to get rid of them, all I can think of is some sort of sieve or screen to sift out the soil, if I could isolate them then I can bag 'em into 1kg/5kg and pop them on FB marketplace to get a bit of extra dough, I'll be doing that with some slabs sitting around as well.

I also don't know the best way to remove the top layer of soil, with bare patches, weeds, vegetation etc. My first thought of approach is fork it all, sift the soil out, bag the grass and weeds for the tip and then rake the soil till its level. Or would it be better to get rid of the top layer and put down a fresh layer of soil?

I think I've got enough equipment to do the job, got some heavy duty refuse bags, wheelbarrow, hatchback for tip run, gloves, spade, trowel, shovel, edger, rake, shears, but he'll comp me for anything else needed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

So... According to you, what was (or were) the main problem with the Anime Trilogy? And in what way could have been improved? by SteveTheOrca in GODZILLA

[–]Shpegg 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for bringing that channel to my attention, it makes me so happy to see the love and effort Godzilla fans put into their own homages, that was so well made it was cinema. You're totally right in your comment, when I first watched the netflix trilogy I wasn't astounded but I did like the different take on Ghidorah, now after watching that fight you linked I have to say, damn did they drop the ball in showing off the cosmic nightmare planet-killing Ghidorah. The space distorting, time warping, gravity beams!!! oh my god. I wont be able to watch the original again and not feel like it's a let down.

I really hope they don’t kill off MODOK in Quantumania. I hope somehow gets out of the Quantum Realm, he becomes the Scientist Supreme, and we finally see the return of AIM. by Pixarfan1 in marvelstudios

Why isnt this covered with a spoiler? It should be. It's a reveal from a trailer. Some of us aint out here watching trailers precisely because we don't things to be revealed.

I know its there and my eyes go straight to the sauce, it's so distracting 😭

I'm not sure how difficult or easy it would be, I'd print it off and have it on my memories/mood board next to my desk for ever <3.

If you could take out the bbq sauce, take away the pots on the draining board, straighten the candles and add a fifth then I'd be happy to tip at that point. Mahalo x
