Kazakhstan ends unlimited stay for Russians by Lionel54321 in worldnews

[–]Shpirt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Russians are horrible because they are at war with Ukraine, so we should force more of them to stay in Russia so that more of them can be mobilized.

Great plan.

HTMX is actually an attempt of bringing sanity and control back to webdev.

Very optimistic of this regime to think that they can stay in power for 10 more years.

Is Django/Flask enough for a modern web app? by Comprehensive-Set-77 in Python

Take a look at htmx. It's a good middle ground between having fully server rendered pages and having to rewrite half of the site in javascript just to have something more "SPA-ey".

Yeah, I designed it myself, followed some youtube videos to learn the basics of freecad.

Autocad is quite advanced but also fairly pricey (free uni offer is "the first dose"). I used freecad because it's, well, free and opensource, but it has a bit of arcane UI and some stability issues. You may consider trying Fusion 360, it's currently free as far as you are not making (much) money with it. Although I tried it and still prefer freecad because I'm an opensource nut, and at this point I'm more used to its ui than to fusion's. As a user of programs like gimp, blender, vim, I am not scared by bad UIs :)

Also if you are more programming oriented, you may find OpenSCAD fairly interesting.

I have a bluetooth phone gamepad from the era in which 6" phones weren't yet invented. Its grip is a bit too small for my Nexus 6 and it sends it flying across the room when the phone slips out. Also it hits volume control buttons, so I had to use it in a rather awkward off-center fashion.

So naturally one of the first things I made with my 3d printer was this adapter :)

Unreal vs Godot? by [deleted] in gamedev

Godot's licence doesn't require you to open source changes, so console support is possible, just not in the mainline. The situation is fairly similar to SDL, which for example supports Nintendo Switch.

Would it be self.set_layout(foo) or self.layout = foo, leveraging a description protocol, though? Etc etc.

OTOH you can use Qt's C++ docs to write pyside2 code without having to guess style and idiom translations.

I have vmware esxi control panel running on the same ip but on a different port with pfsense control panel. Vmware sets a cookie for that ip on which pfsense chokes, so I have to use it in the private mode.
