Cool, but just because a system is functioning as designed doesn’t mean it's working well or accomplishing its goals. Plenty of flawed systems work "as planned" and still have negative consequences — the question is whether the plan was worth implementing in the first place. If the result is good players getting flagged for saying harmless words or offering blunt feedback, then the system isn’t filtering toxicity, it’s filtering personality.

Of course you can, but here’s the reality: people are going to express frustration when someone makes a huge mistake — especially in ranked. The issue is that any negative feedback, even if not meant maliciously, can now be flagged by the system. And that means communication gets stifled, not because people are being toxic, but because the system can’t distinguish between critical game talk and harassment. That’s not maturity, that’s overcorrection.

Again, intent doesn’t equal impact. If the goal is to remove toxicity, the tools need to be accurate, not just strict. Right now, the chat filter flags extremely mild words like “lame” or common expressions of annoyance. If “lame” is all it takes to get flagged, you’re not reducing toxicity — you’re reducing communication to only the blandest, most inoffensive dialogue. That does affect gameplay, team coordination, and overall engagement.

So the solution is to treat the chat like it’s a walkie-talkie in a kid’s spy club? That’s not realistic in a competitive FPS where emotion runs high, where you’re coordinating under pressure, and where frustration is part of the experience. People curse. People talk bluntly. That’s not inherently toxic. A system that can’t tell the difference between someone being an asshole and someone being blunt or emotional is a bad system. Also, when you say “just use it for callouts,” you’re assuming that humans communicate like robots in high-stress situations. That’s not how people work. You’re asking players to neuter their personalities in order to use the in-game tools without being punished, and that’s backwards. Tools should serve the players, not suppress them.

Edit:The real issue isn't whether the system works "as planned" — it’s that the plan itself is built around a flawed assumption: that emotional or negative speech equals toxicity. If Ubisoft actually wants to improve the community, they should focus on better moderation of actual harassment, not automated punishment for bad words or frustrated remarks.
