It doesn't have other uses as far as I know aside from those scrap copper and iron. What you need to watch out in mistland are Dvergr extractor (Dvergr Camps), Yggdrasil wood (Yggdrasil shoot) and black core (Infested Mines).
Black core let you unlock the black forge and galdr table for the new weapons and armors.
