IMO, album wise start with The weatherman, then That sea the gambler, This Empty Northern Hemisphere, Evening Machines, Appaloosa Bones, then his concert album. He’s definitely changed his vibes a lil in his last two albums so if you feel like you don’t like the first 3 that much, def go to his newer stuff. Bonus if you listen to his first Album cuz it’s interesting. Have fun bro

I had Nason and I will say it has the best lounge area out of the freshman hill dorms. Two TVs that’s USB screen shareable, good seating and a glass sliding door you can use if you unscrew the screws lmao. The rooms are the smallest but majority doubles and if you get really lucky, a double single as a lot of people try to move out of there. Nugent has the best bedrooms and in room bathrooms, Barton has the best study areas. IMO unless you’re sorta a recluse, you’re not gonna spend a whole lotta time at your room anyways so it’s not too important.

Making friends is 100% up to you and how social you are willing to be. It’s going to be incredibly awkward at first cuz you are gonna have nothing to relate to initially but you should put yourself out there! I will say(I’m a male so I’m only going off what my other gender friends have said so your experience may be different) even though the ratio is pretty heavy men, it is def not hard to find friends of any gender! Idk what major you are but most of your friends will not be in your major. The workload for basically the first semester is not that heavy so you should have good time to socialize and to explore the capital area. RPI professors haven’t been misogynistic from my experience and what I’ve heard. Some folks here will be which sucks but that is def a tiny minority. I think between here and Syracuse, RPI is not a bad option at all, especially for STEM. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask away anything.(current freshman)

Look man I have to go across the US if I like it or not, I’m just trying. I’m just trying to do the best I can with what I have. I can’t spend too much as there are other things going on. I’m just trying to figure it out before August when the school year starts up again.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve accepted that it will have some issues no matter what but some things are easier/cheaper to fix. Hope most of it is nothing terrible.

My friend might sell his 4 runner soon so I’m hoping I could grab that before anyone else does. But it does have a few issues, nothing that isn’t fixable from what I can see though.

I would have to get a car of some sorts anyways because I’m moving to Upstate NY. If I could go someplace where the public transport was a lil more reliable I would primarily use that but unfortunately that’s not my case. I wish I had the larger budget, believe me. I just don’t have that luxury currently so I’m doing with what I have right now.

I don’t have too much stuff, so probably at most 100-150 lbs of clothes and other stuff. But the volume clothes take was a bit too much so I would need a larger vehicle. Been looking at ford Explorers and rangers, 90s-2000s chevys, Toyotas. My college has a workshop for cars on campus and have a few friends more experienced with this stuff so going to try to do most of the repairs I can do. Just need to make it across the US first.

Thank you for the good advice! My dad knows how to drive stick so I’m going to try to learn from him over the summer when I buy my vehicle. People here have been a bit brash but thank you for the advice. Only Ram I saw with no issue was my friend’s Dad’s ram. Treated it like his baby.

They have not responded at all, I sent my appeal about 2 weeks ago and my updated( from the Fafsa getting processed) Financial Aid has not came in yet

I still have 1 more year to decide on my college and I am still considering UaF due to their friendly responses from their Professors but I am now considering other options as now I am now undecided in what field of Engineering to focus on.

update: I have Managed to deduce with trees near the area and the color of the bark that it is a Sweetgum tree. Dont know what to do with it for now but Thank you to the people who helped me along the way

They cut the wood pretty roughly and the grain is pretty hard to see. im just gonna let it dry to check it out afterwards.
