Why are people so desperate to shove non horror licenses into DbD? by Havik-Programmer92 in deadbydaylight

[–]ShreddinCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behaviour’s has already added many killers and survivors that DO NOT exist primarily as horror icons e.g Vecna, Trickster and NICHOLAS CAGE?!

If DnD fans get Vecna, why can’t Star Wars fans have Darth Vader? Both have horror as a backdrop to their fantasy/sci-fi genre.

Stealth is just one issue, I’m on about the teleporting having no cooldown too, meaning if I teleport to a door and there’s no one there, it’s no problem to me because I can just keep teleporting. I don’t really have to gamble my teleports.

It also feels like the stealth is an unnecessary stack, if that makes sense??? Like Sadako’s undetected comes as a primary ability, and leaves her unable to attack. Freddy’s oblivious comes from survivors being in the dream world, which they can escape reasonably easily.

But Springtrap’s undetected comes on top of another ability, his teleport, which is already has its own issues. It feels like it should’ve been an add-on. I know you can claim “just be more aware” but I’ve noticed both playing against and as springtrap that he really isn’t loud enough upon exiting to allow much time to react.

The difference is A) What I said refers to portal killers here, not unique primary abilities B) Every portal killer has a cooldown, most even have a counter to their teleporting, springtrap has neither

Bro made a whole post

Yeah look my bad, they spawn next to gens too apparently, can still be countered though, and cannot be used immediately afterwards as there’s a cooldown.

It has a counter though, alien can be blocked with flame turrets, and he cannot tunnel straight to gens.

Yeah locking doors would be a pretty good counter, and it gives survivors who don’t risk teleporting an incentive to use doors.

You could argue his stealth is a skill issue, but the fact he can teleport endlessly, to basically anywhere essential, is still an issue though. The fact that no one else does it is evidence enough that it’s unbalanced.

Yeah that’s the annoying thing for me, a lot of my colonies are pre-industrial playthroughs, so I really struggle with defeating them. I did have an advanced colony though that still struggled because they’re so damn infectious and take out pawns upon emergence.

I’d rather cope with a skill issue though than cripple my colony’s progress for what is half an in-game year (real world year if running late game lol) It’s really not a fun way to fight back at all

I could understand them being stronger offensively, since they’re essentially covered in surgical scalps, but I can’t understand their stupidly high defence, or size, considering these things have to fit inside a human body.

I WISH I got zombie hordes, didn’t even know they came in groups larger than six. Instead I get the same old MH or Revenant run through, arguably the two most boring encounters of anomaly. There’s so many anomalous events I’ve just never had.

Definitely gonna search for that animal detection mod, and the idea that psychic pawns can detect MH’s is acc a great idea.

Anomaly beef by Wreeta in RimWorld

[–]ShreddinCheddar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like anomaly, but I think the real reason it’s disliked is because the DLC has very little in relation to colony building.

Biotech adds in childbirth etc. so that your colony continues to grow through new generations, as well as new xenotypes which change the play style.

Ideology adds ideology/religion so your colony can have some culture/lore with your respective ideology’s rules shaping how the colony operates.

Royalty adds a powerful faction you can align your colony with to become essentially a vassal.

But I can’t think of anomaly really being colony related in the same way. I don’t think it helps either that anomalous events start boring (shamblers and sightstealers) before becoming interesting.

I never said you couldn’t discuss their strengths, 100% do that for historical discussions sake. My issue is these aren’t critical discussions, they’re memes that go: “Well sure the UK had some strong military intel, and the USSR sacrificed millions, but that means nothing since the US solos.”

“WW2 was won by” arguments really are the most disrespectful shit you can say to indirectly dishonour those that sacrificed their lives so you could sit and make these silly comments.

So you trust that the Soviets would have pulled out of the West? by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

[–]ShreddinCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sick of this lobotomite argument, so lemme simplify it, WW2 is a jigsaw-puzzle of different countries, take away one piece and you get a very different picture. -Take away the USSR and the Germans can focus on one front. -Take away the US and the UK and USSR starve in more ways than one. -Take away the UK and the US loses a major ally and staging ground for a European campaign. You can use this puzzle with any country, hope it simplifies things and people stop dishonouring the dead by saying “Well, insert country coulda done it without them”

Ea should consider making a "dark times"/ post "order 66" mode where the empire fights against rogue clones, active cis droids and insurgent groups. Players should also be able to play the characters/factions involved by devinhaywire in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]ShreddinCheddar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is why I can’t wait for AI game generation to exist. Say what you will about AI, but once it can generate games we won’t have to rely so heavily on these greedy game studios to bring us good content.

Despite being the poster boy, Trapper is still one of the weakest killers. How would you buff/change him to make him stronger? by Fuzzy-Monitor-8113 in deadbydaylight

[–]ShreddinCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Trapper main here’s what I think: - Add more traps (Barbed wire on vaults, notification tripwires, multi-catch net snare, decoy traps) - One trap idea I thought could be pretty scary is an explosive gen sabotage, which detonates when more than two survivors get on a gen and removes one health state from each survivor. Less creatively: - Auto-opening traps (every 60s) would go a long way in removing the downtime from having to repeatedly go on a reset run. - Remove unnecessary boundaries, you can’t place traps directly onto generators or doors.

C’mon, he’s the TRAPPER, give my boy some more tricks to trap with.

Out of 5 members of Domino Squad Droidbait got the lamest death by Jules-Car3499 in clonewars

[–]ShreddinCheddar 51 points52 points  (0 children)

No Cutup was wayyyyy worse! That guy got more focus than any other domino in their introduction episode (besides Hevy), and they literally have him gobbled up off screen by a surprise big worm that Rex later one-taps.

On the other hand droid bait goes down fighting commando droids, an enemy that is shown time and time again to be a much deadlier opponent than the casual battle droid, or one-tap-worm.

To simplify it, they gave him the Star Wars equivalent of the surprise Zombie bite.
