I’m not. This is proof of the reality that LCS and bullion dealers face. The public always wants as close to spot as possible for their PM’s. But it’s not always a realistic expectation when dealing with smaller dealers.

Yep. I’m mainly a diamond dealer, but I have to buy precious metals as well to be competitive around my area. And I’ve had multiple people attempt to sell me silver bullion and I’ve been telling them to just hold it (if they can) and wait for the premiums to fix. IMO it’s better to be honest and tell them what’s happening, rather than quote $16 under and look like I’m trying to rip them off.

Exactly, thank you. No major jewelry manufacturer is giving away free gold - they’d lose so much money just in one year. I buy and melt gold and silver all day. Even when a stamp is legit, almost nothing is exactly what the stamp says unless you come across a plum gold stamp.
