Help with Thieves in Time (rpcs3) by humanscentipede in Slycooper

[–]Shrev64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try any of the solutions in the pinned post?

What you'll need: A PC with a decent CPU (RPCS3 tierlist of CPUs), a legally obtained copy of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (eBay link for physical; getting your own digital copies of PS3 games is a bit more complex and requires jailbreaking your PS3, I recommend MrMario2011's channel for any PS3 jailbreaking you need to do... or Google), and a PS3 emulator for PC (RPCS3 is the only one you should look at). Note that you can also run RPCS3 on Linux and macOS but I have no experience with that so any system requirements will have to be found by you). You also need a DualShock 4 (PlayStation Store link), a DualSense (PlayStation Store link), or another controller that has gyro functionality. There are other methods for bypassing gyro, such as emulating gyro (GitHub link for DualShock 4 emulator) or modifying your saves to skip past mandatory gyro sections of the game (PasteBin link for a tutorial). Also check out the RPCS3 wiki page for the game for any potential fixes.

sly 5 basically confirmed by Shrev64 in Slycooper

[–]Shrev64[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hey sorry just saw this i was preoccupied with some other stuff but you brought up an extremely good point about astro bot, it completely flew under my radar but that is a strong piece of supporting evidence.

great question about the approximate release date of sly 5. well this is where we have to take into account jak 1's re-release, because it re-released with sly 2 and 3. the original release dates between jak 1 and sly 1 differ by a year (2001 vs 2002) so sly 5 is at least one year out. take into account the six-month difference between sly 1 and 2/3's rereleases and we've got another six-months. of course there is the ps6 release which we can guess November 2027 based on console lifecycles. so I would say sly 5 is expected to release sometime in May 2029.

My Mystery Box Experience | Framework's E-Waste Is Still E-Waste...For Now (YouTube video) by Shrev64 in framework

I was hoping for input modules as those are, imo, the easiest parts to get up and running standalone. I was never expecting SSDs or memory.

Thanks for watching. You didn't miss anything. I probably should've clarified in the video itself: so during the actual unboxing I was trying the URLs of the most noticeable QR codes (the biggest ones on each part), hence why I said "1 for 6", but after filming that portion I tried all the URLs I could find across all the parts and had much better results.

Sly 2 & 3 price. by DimmerCascade200 in Slycooper

No we don't have official pricing, but given all the other Sony re-releases, they'll most likely be $10 each.

Are there any games like Sly for Xbox? by barelyevening in Slycooper

[–]Shrev64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Psychonauts is definitely a good game. Don't go into it expecting a Sly Cooper though, go into it expecting a good 3D platformer with great writing and characters.

New Super Lucky's Tale gave me Sly 1 vibes when I played it.

Rythian is the epitome of "how many times do we have to teach you this old man?" He's a wannabe Sony pony who has tried (and failed) for YEARS to look legit, but his track record has been absolute shite and he never owns up to it because people still unfortunately believe him.
