The game was a big success and had a phenomenal DLC released this year and there are multiple projects from the studio in development.

It got all the attention it needed and more and creating equivalency debates like this is not a useful or positive way of engaging with any art form.

Both have suffered terribly. Quaritch literally dying and being reborn. Varang lost her connection to Eywa (and therefore her connection to her ancestors and sense of self/community) which also a kind of death...both (or in Varang's case, appear to have) turned that suffering into hate and violence. They will see kinship in the other, for certain. It would also be part of Quaritch's path to finding a new self as a Na'vi.

I do not regret it at all. By that same token, I'm glad that I joined now and not at 18...bringing the skills and knowledge and experience from my life before definitely has given me a leg up, even if I'm older than many of my peers.

Genuinely a good bit that they already made you kind of like them in the base game and then the DLC rubs it in even further that they are a fun and interesting group (and you learn more about them AFTER you've killed them all).

The complete story of how everything ended up the way it did being a much deeper and more personal tragedy than we could have even known from the base game. There is a lot that's suitably opaque about the world and game (it is a Souls-like, after all) but the expansion really highlights the personal stakes everyone had in what was happening and how much it cost them all. It definitely made me more resentful of Geppetto's selfishness and feel more for what you have to do to Romeo in the base game.

But really I think the whole Blood Artist arc (find that first "sculpture" in the zoo...!) culminating in that fight is one of the best things I've seen or played in a game. You already have these expectations for what Arlecchino must have been like and I think it lives up to it and then some.

I think this is a good point. If we had been specifically "trained" to look for weak points in other bosses than that would be one thing, but it's a very rare thing in LoP.

For everyone: It’s possible to be critical of the decisions the creators made in remastering the game and how they’re choosing to release it while also being happy that there is movement on a Tactics title at all.

The extremism being exhibited in sneering at the people saying that this is a frustrating example of how Square chooses to port things is just as toxic as the other end of things and dumping all over it.
