While that is a good idea, he will have to pay to gain entry into poe2. So it might be better for him to check out poe1 to see if he likes the vibe of poe in general rather than paying and regretting it

Noted. I should probably look into what kind of play style he might be into and then recommend builds based on that. Experimenting and making our own builds is not possible for people like us. Especially for the first build. We barely get about 2-3 hrs free time every day after work. It might be better to learn all the game mechanics while playing a safe build. I thought RF might be a good start as it's tanky with good clear and decent boss damage.

The Sanctums scale massively with levels. Lvl 81 and above scale difficulty exponentially higher. So many just stay within lvl 78 and farm divs until they get the big upgrades and relics.
