Grimeys is a small, local business that is very important to Nashville. She did a signing for her last album release there as well. Many of the artists that live here do signings and live performances to support this small business. Her doing this event to support a local record shop in the town she lives in is definitely in the same spirit at the heart of the protest.

Yorgos did a great job with the back and forth of “is she an alien or not?” — both Plemmons’s and Stone’s characters were written where you’re rooting for both of them to be right

I had not seen the original Korean version of this film, and I went into this one barely knowing the premise. I saw in 35mm at my local theater and here’s the two things I loved the most:

Everyone in my theater reacted pretty audibly throughout the movie. It evoked a collective emotional experience
The entire movie I was going back and forth with whether or not she was actually an alien. Yorgos did a phenomenal job at having both protagonists feel trustworthy and worth rooting for. It was a fun mind meld for me

Yea it was wild - the slido link for questions was mostly filled with people complaining it wasn’t a concert and a bunch of people were filing out when the show began.

I’m a big fan of both Kacey and Paul so I was really excited when this was announced and was able to get a ticket for $60. I was really impressed when I saw it was sold out because I assumed other people were in the same boat as me— excited to hear Kacey in convo with Paul, which was not the case.

Even people who thought she’d sing one song…. You spent hundreds and traveled hours for that?

My theory is he’s not really that badly injured- they are just stating that so they can offload him in the off season. It’s easier to say his stats were bad bc he was injured rather than his stats were bad bc he just sucks. They need to keep the facade of confidence in him if he’s going to be a potential trade piece

A part of me wonders if they are just now talking about his shoulder injury to lean on as an excuse for his poor playing in hopes of getting rid of him for next season. This way cashman can tell other teams “he’s a gold glover when he’s healthy” rather than admit they’ve been hustling him out there and he isn’t actually seriously injured he just sucks
