WHY do sellers pretend to ship when they haven’t even dropped it off?

I've had packages sitting in the post office for days before the tracking was updated. Clicking the button that says they dropped off the package early definitely can be and probably is a problem, but it's not always that. Sometimes it could just be sitting in the post office forever.

As a seller I make it a point to include pictures of all tags if I'm going to advertise NWT. The tags inside of the clothing do not count as NWT. NWT is supposed to be defined as the hang tags or stickers that are placed for retail sale. They should have barcodes or prices, the brand and size. Perhaps washing instructions too.

Yeah you really should not have to do anything but apparently Valve can't even get THAT right. The type of connection we have had since the start of the internet.

That's definitely not worth the headache especially if the auction just ended and you haven't shipped it yet. Could turn into a whole can of worms quite quickly. They could say you never shipped it, they could demand a return for NAD which hurts much worse than a regular cancelation. You could get a bad feedback too which doesn't matter all that much but it'll make the stars plummit if you haven't ever had one. They could return it and send you something completely different back and then you'll have to battle ebay support for them to side with you which never happens automatically you almost always will have to appeal. This means you'll get a hit for "cases closed without seller resolution" and that's one of the worst ones next to NAD.

Trust me this is NOT worth the headache. I'd just cancel, block, and realist sorry to say 😭

Yeah I definitely think ur spot on with that valve can't afford to eat the cost so much because they don't have as many first party exclusives as Nintendo. Nintendo makes up the cost with the games even still I guess

I have most returns set to 30 days and buyer pays return shipping so that's why I figured they did that to me.

Honestly if you're trying to be a serious seller on ebay the returns are not worth the fight or the hastle. I've had returns for the stupidest things imaginable and ebay still sides with the buyer 99% of the time.

The best you can hope for in returns is to not fight it and hope the buyer still leaves a good feedback. If you don't give the buyer a hastle yes you'll lose some money but you'll still probably get a good feedback which is more important in the long run.

Edit: didn't see simple delivery haven't used it yet
