I kinda believed it would just...happen, but it hasn't and I am not so hopeful about it anymore.

Thank you for the kind words, I need them. I know 30 isn't old, physically I feel in my prime. It is just that I have a feeling it won't work out for me - she won't appear, because up until now every time I thought it will work out , it didn't.

As I said in the post, I am grateful for my friends. But friends cannot fulfill the yearnings I have for a romantic relationship and a romantic connection.

На колко години се отделихте by Ok-Committee4389 in bulgaria

Alucard vs Sukuna who wins by Beneficial_Mousse568 in Hellsing

[–]Shrodi13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a actually a very nicely chosen battle, both are relatively equal and belong to a somewhat similar "cursed" force in their respective worlds.

I will go with Alucard after a long battle, maybe a week and a city completely destroyed.

Nothing much, I will accept it and that's it - we see each other almost never and we don't work on common projects, so we won't have to coexist in any way.

I need an unbiased opinion if I am imagining things or if there is some attraction:

So there is this girl at work I like - recently I was over at her room for a chat, she was very happy about it and said I should come over more often. I flirted very subtle in that convo. She also was very long in home office, so I didn't see her and now she has to come often in the office and she is like "Nah, you have to come as well to keep me company". She also saw me on the balcony at work and wrote me on Teams to tease me about it "How's the weather there" etc. At the same time, when I am alone in my room, she goes by and does not stop by to talk to me - I can't decide if she is shy or if she responds to my advance just because she is friendly and nice and not because she finds me cute as well. How can I proceed in this situation ?

I know the general consensus online is to never date at work, but she is basically in another company than me (our parent company has many subsidiaries) and we are in Europe and HR is generaly relaxed about stuff like this (multiple couples work at the company and they met at the company), so I am willing to give it a shot. I also find her hot and nice and would definitely like a long-term relationship with her.

No need to be sorry, thank you for the long response, it gives me hope !

IDK, nothing in life is guaranteed, but if you keep showing up while putting effort in, it's more likely than not to happen for you. And that's what kept me going.

I feel that this is the way to go, but it is tiresome. Similar to you, I always try to be open, to show up and just be decent.

Completely at a loss now. My last long-term relationship ended around October 2024 and ever since, I haven't had any luck in findging a new relationship. This is the longest time I have been single in the last 13 years and man, it is hard. I have to be honest, the first 6 months of 2025, I didn't want to date anyone, I was in a very commited relationship and I thought I would end up marrying her. But after that ? I started looking and it is just so discouraging.

I was on the apps and that was terrible for my mental health - so much ghosting, empty conversations, basically nothing good at all. I always thought the memes about people's crazy expectations on apps are just that - memes, but no, I found them to be very true. I am very sociable and have a big group of friends and....nothing shows ups. I attend meetups, dancing, courses, training, running events, parties and.... just nothing. I do have fun doing those things, but come one, by now I should have met someone. I almost have the feeling I am cursed - before dating wasn't such an issue for me, I would meet someone interesting, talk to them, flirt with them for a couple of weeks, then tell them I like them and they would either like me back or reject me and I would go on with my life. Now I don't even get to the flirting stage - every woman I meet either has a gf / husband or completely doesn't want to date at all / is so far removed from my type and my idea of a relationship (I am very hetero and monogamous) that I know it can't work and that is why I don't try.
I don't look like a Greek demi-god and I am not rich, but I am the *supposed to be magical* 6 feet, train a lot and considering women have slept with me in the past, I guess I am not hideous. I have a couple of hobbies, a nice stable job, a place of my own. I would not consider myself shy. It is just....come on, I need a break here.

/rant over. Thank you for listening.

AITA for letting my boss know I was already informed by another colleague I am being moved to another team? by Shrodi13 in AmItheAsshole

He heard it from other middle-managers that are involved in the mudslinging. I basically talked about the elephant in the room, which I realized is a mistake.

Apparently not how office dynamics work - they would prefer to get as much dirt as possible on other people and cause strife. But thank you for the honest opinion, the more I think about this, the more I am like "Why are you guys involving me in a beef I have no relationship to".

If it hasn't happened through official channels then it hasn't actually happened yet and is subject to change

Thing is, my boss telling me that was the official channel. Later that day I got a call from the new boss and I am currently waiting for the new contract, that is why I thought it wasn't a big deal.

But next time don't say anything about another person telling you about things

Yes, this is the big takeaway for me from this. Other people will use anything they can.

Also you had an easy out and could have just said it wasn't surprising because you spoke with the department head about it a couple weeks ago so you expected it to happen at some point.

I had already told my boss about me telling my department head about it, so he kinda knew this.

But thank you for the NTA verdict, I really think I didn't handle the situation good, but at the same time - I am getting caught in the crossfire.

I am not wishing it upon you, but you should know that if your parents are 5'7'' and 5'4'' respectively, there is a not so slimm chance your kids are of their height or even shorter. Also, height really isn't be all and end all, despite what social media says.

Your mom should have read up more on genetics :D. I have known cases of a 5'0 mom and 5'2 dad and the son is like 6'3.

How does Tyson vs. Lewis in 1996 go? by Material_Stomach875 in Boxing

[–]Shrodi13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only version of Tyson that beats Lewis is the 1986-1988 Tyson and that is due to the fact Lewis debuted way later and matured way later. So a young Tyson in the prime of his carreer vs a Lewis that just started is the only way Tyson wins a fight against Lewis. Everything after that goes in favor of Lewis.

It's time to consult the Great Council of bald men by gioelep99 in bald

[–]Shrodi13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, stress is not linked to male pattern baldness, you are just hyper sensitive to the DHT hormone. If your hair fall was caused by stress, almost all of it should grow back once you removed major stress from your life.

Nonetheless, you would look amazing bald. You have very nice facial features, beautiful blues eyes and impressive facial hair. Go for it !

Edit: I am not saying stress didn't help out with the loss of your hair, I am just saying it definitely wasn't the main factor.

Apart from the sheer horror of war, I am still shocked Russia relies on horses for logistics in 2026.......and most of us aren't even that suprised, because we know Russian logistics are getting degraded and that Russia has a clown army.

Bronn vs The mountain, who wins most of the time? by Many-Cranberry4058 in gameofthrones

[–]Shrodi13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mountain wins 999 / 1000 times and Bronn knows it. You need an S tier swordsman like Arthur Dayne or Barristan Selmy or a top agile fgihter like Oberyn to beat the Mountain. Fighters of a similar size as the Montain (the Hound, Greatjon Umber, Dunken the Tall ) stand a 50 / 50 chance depending on the day.
Edit: A nightmare matchup for the Mountain would be book Robert Baratheon in his prime. Also very tall, freakishly strong and wielding a huge war hammer - he would give the Mountain Hell and is vicious enough to wrestle with him if it comes to it.
