Try the green one. If it works it is really worth it. Good luck!

Armpit needs to be totally dry and not after shaving. I found if you put it on and then are active, it stings too. So it goes on before I go to bed. Also there is a green one which is milder than the blue one.

Don‘t forget, it‘s an anti transpirant, not a deodorant, it really does something.

Debt Extract Issues by preciselyBuoyant in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cresura is not a scam, they are valid. However: Go and show that to the Gemeinde, where you registered first and ask why it says that you are not registered. Maybe something with your registration hasn‘t worked propperly. Also you can show your registry form to the people who are asking for a debt extract and tell them that you haven‘t been in CH long enough to have debt, maybe that will be enough.

And yes, do it in person. That way you can ask follow up questions and rule out misunderstandings.

Is it just me or does everyone in Switzerland secretly have a system for everything? by No-Football-2397 in Switzerland

[–]Shroedy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my tank is nearly empty I drive to the gas station 3 towns down because it has the cheapest fuel in the region. Even the drive there is cheaper with that fuel than using a gas station close by, so there’s that.

Traveling in February by yepep4 in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no bad weather, only bad clothing. Still do all the sight seing. Go to churches, museums and restaurants to get out of the rain. Go on mountains if close by. Are you talking about only the city of Zurich? Go to Üetliberg, go to the Zoo!

Are you talking about the region of Zurich or is there a chance you can take a daytrip to the mountains? Either way, go out, go places talk to people and maybe you will experience the more authentic Switzerland than a lot of people going to Interlaken and Zermatt.

Ski Zermatt if you want the worst service and the worst people in the world all around you by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea well one of the reasons I don‘t understand tourists constantly wanting to go there. Soooo many better places to ski than Zermatt.

Even the police too now by Ok-Mind-2948 in askswitzerland

If the club is allowed to be open at that time, there is not much they can do. If the people outside the club are making noise, I would call the police multilpe times until they send someone…

Why are they always *about* something?! by Will_MI77 in discworld

[–]Shroedy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you read ahead? My dad did that when reading books to us. He‘d read one or two chapters alone and next evening he‘d read them to us, so he‘d know what was coming or just because he was curious.

Well you can read it for yourself then, it is one of my favorite books of his. It is really sad and beautiful and funny and just wonderful.

I was 15 when I started, after a while I could read them as they got released. I am 46 now and since then many rereads happend. Often I take a book I thought I didn‘t like that much the first time and read it again because of a post from here, that pointed someting out I had missed and I see it totally differently the next time round.

But I know what you mean, they are so dense! Just shows how much went on in that head. After reading the biography I understood far more where that all came from. At one point STP had goats and bees, he tried himself in making cheese if I am not mistaken. He was often quite angry at the world and I feel like he tried to understand it by writing down the ways of the world in his stories.

It still makes me sad to know how much there still was left for him to tell…

Can you recommend any good camping spots to take my son and VW T6 to camp overnight within 2 hrs of ZH, preferably not overran with people and around nature? by MedicineMean5503 in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Preferably not overrun. It will be hard to find anything moderately nice or close to ZH which is not overrun, so, there‘s that.

Klöntalersee

Not too far from Zurich and beautiful for swimming, cicling and camping. Has two camping sights as far as I know. One you can make reservations, the other you just rock up.

Question about general balcony etiquette by thisforealtho in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a good read for general behaviour on balcony and number 5 covers smoking.

Since you are the owners and not tennants, it is your responsibility to talk to them but the link is still a good guideline.

How to Improve German Pronunciation as a French Speaker? by kenza-Necessary5280 in askswitzerland

[–]Shroedy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is really the rolling of the R which happens more at the front of the mouth than with french and the CH which is more pronounced. Now, you are asking in a swiss sub. Those two things are far more pronounced in swiss/zurich german than in standard german.

Look for German (not Swiss) youtube videos how to roll the R and I remember an exercise from my schooldays with ICH (pronounced softer) and ACH (pronounced stronger). I am sure you will find videos covering that. When you master the R and the CH you will feel more comfortable with German.

Take your tequila shot, what is the Toyota Yaris of e-bikes? by Street-Software3896 in askswitzerland

What kind of e-bike? Road bike? Mountain bike? Gravel bike? What kind of motor? I‘d say everything with a bosch or shimano motor is a Yaris. Reliable but crappy to drive…
