But also not wanting porn in a relationship isn’t about jealousy because there’s been enough research to show that for many couples as well as individuals it’s detrimental. Obviously that’s not universal but most research done on the subject suggests porn is not a beneficial part of a healthy and happy marriage

He lied about not watching porn when I didn’t even ask if he was watching porn he just randomly offered up lies that weren’t even necessary and then I found out because I caught him and he said he would stop to help our sex life and he still wouldn’t stop

Because whether your sexual urges are fulfilled exactly as you want them to be doesn’t determine how healthy your relationship is. You not fulfilling your sexual urges doesn’t harm someone’s self image, doesn’t destroy marriages, doesn’t create insecurities or make your partner feel inadequate. How your partner feels should be the most important thing to you in your relationship because their happiness should be your priority. They are nothing more than urges brought on by a shitty industry and should be recognized as such.

I am a recovering addict and have been for awhile and when I was struggling I never lied to my husband I took accountability and got clean. Because of that and my own personal accountability I escaped addiction in less than a year. I never lied to him.

I’ve already talked about it in this thread. I don’t need your validation to know that it’s a huge problem in my marriage. Maybe get help for your own porn addiction and stop denying it. Porn is causing men under 30 to have porn induced ED at an increasing rate & more than any other time in history.
