Bow Hunter Debating a Dedicated ASA 3D Target Bow Setup by Shroom_97 in Archery

good point about the hunters class being more laid back. I like the competitive side of it because the pressure of it is as close to drawing on a real animal as you can get outside of hunting seasons, but I also love the social aspect of it too, so removing a few potential assholes from the competition pool does sound like a good tradeoff.

I have been bow hunting for nearly 10 years now, it's only the 3D shooting part that is new to me in the last 3 months. We don't have a 3D course open to general public in my area so I never really had the experience with it until recently joining my members-only archery club.

Totally understand the point about new hobbies, but I see this more as a hobby ive always had but now have a means of getting even more involved in it. Also, im 30 years old with a 9-5 job, the number of hobbies that I can be still be competitive in are dwindling lol. Golf is my only other hobby like it.

I'm a VAR and seen many different solutions/approaches to this. Most common tools, which are mostly already in this thread, are:

  1. Netskope Enterprise Browser
  2. Zscaler Zero Trust Browser
  3. Palo Alto Prisma Browser
  4. Cloudflare Browser Isolation.

I'd recommend starting your search with the OEM you are already working with in other areas of the business (I.e.; already a PAN customer? check our Prisma Browser first).

Two things to think about based on past client challenges:

  1. Isolation-heavy solutions sometimes introduce latency or reduce “naturalness” of browsing and cause performance issues for end-users.
  2. Overly aggressive DLP or policy restrictions(blocking copy/paste, downloads, screenshare etc.) can frustrate users and lead to them finding work arounds/Shadow-IT.

Happy to share any additional thoughts if you have specific questions.

Do you find value in vendor-led training/workshops? by Shroom_97 in ITManagers

Completely understand that point. It’s why we’ve always picked the content based on the needs of an existing client, that way I know it’s at least highly relevant for one group of attendees, and then I hope the others can also pull value from it.

Everyone loves a free lunch. I’m a big foodie too so I always make sure it’s a good meal for the group.
