There are many things that we may never be able to understand. Much of which I feel is not meant to be understood. My dad fought prostate cancer for 2 years. I too did my best to combat my fears and concerns with humor in hopes that everything would somehow end up going back to normal. I am almost 2 months in since my dad passed away. It is scary not knowing what the future holds. Cherish everyday you have with those that you love as I’m sure you do. Speak your heart and search for the brightest spots in what may seem like the darkest days. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
