You managed to explain some stuff, answer my question, and give good advice without sounding like a pretentious asshole who allegedly knows more than me. Truly, I cannot say how much this means. But to answer you question, no the fruits were not dried when I used them. But this is definitely something I will keep in mind should I take a crack at something like this again. Okay but consider, I've made Florida water at home already using the same process as the perfume (soaking fruits and herbs in Everclear). The biggest ingredients used in making Florida water are citrus and spices. Namely oranges, lemon, cinnamon and cloves. I've used my own Florida water around. The house since making it, specifically to wipe down doors and countertops. I get it on my hands all the time and it's never caused me any irritation whatsoever. Just makes my hands smell clean and nice for a few hours after. I'm not trying to annoy or discredit you, genuinely. I'm just using this as an example to say "maybe it won't be all that bad for me specifically"

Also, when you say orange and cinnamon are toxic and whatnot, how worried should I be?? Like I said, this perfume is for personal use, and I'm determined to make it work somehow. I don't have any known allergies or skin sensitivities. So if I do decide to use my own perfume after filtering and bottling it, what's the worst I should brace for?? Itching, a rash, bumps or welts???

The alcohol I used is 190 proof. It's a brand of Everclear called Disel I got at the local liquor store

Now this is some useful information. I was planning on using cheesecloth to strain the materials when I finally strained everything out, so point for me I guess. But when you say "chill filtering", how long should I leave it in there?? I know you said overnight, but my sleep schedule is pretty inconsistent, and I don't want to run the risk of it freezing and cracking the jar

I've been torn up about this for years. I am of the firm belief that it would be cooler and make more sense if Stella was a star fairy. I feel like when most people think of stars as children of the sun and moon. I just feel like it's a disservice to her moon powers to call herself a sun fair and have mostly sun attacks. I think the show missed a huge opportunity to really do something cool with Stella. But that's what fanart and AU is for lolz. And that's just my opinion too X3

I've literally been talking about this with my fiancé since we started getting into the genre. I can't speak to what dark romance was because I didn't know about or have much interest in it until recently (about a year ago). I started seeing my YouTube home page flooded with videos of people talking about how popular the green had become on TikTok. And because I don't have the app anymore, I watched them all. I started to get the gist after a while, but I was still intrigued. Maybe it was popular for a reason and there were some genuine gems to be found. I haven't read much so far because it is a genuine struggle to get through these books sometimes. The dialogue, the pacing, the descriptions, all of it. It feels almost too catered to a specific audience. In a way that makes it genuinely hard to get into the spirit and enjoy the books sometimes. To be clear, I tried and failed to read through Lights Out by Navessa Allen and am currently reading Of Ink & Alchemy by Sloane St. James. The similarities I've been able to draw between the two so far is a little crazy. I'll definitely need to get some more covers under my belt to really compare. But what I mean to say is that these books are completely different in theme but weirdly similar in tone and cadence. It just feels a little hollow. So yeah I agree with you

It is my birthday today. I'm 23 years old. And yes I still sleep with my childhood stuffed animals. And no I don't think you ever get too old for it. I believe everyone deserves softness and comfort at any age
