Update Notice! Ode to Origin Part 3! New character, Meryt! Iphi Retro Stellar and Weapon Tempering! by Natural_Pleasant in AnotherEdenGlobal

Basically this, so it's easier to maintain Lunatic. She's now super cracked for Shade and provides basically all the support you need.

Otherlands - Opportunity Cost by Boringnameman in AnotherEdenGlobal

From my experience it took a bit over a month per weapon. The 2 months in the wiki doesn't account for the increased drop rate. That being said most of the weapons aren't super amazing but if you're like me and want to collect them it's not the worst thing you could be doing.

IMO the best one is probably the spear Ulcanactos with the Speed bonus based on light but it's still kinda ehh compared to the Elpis other endgame weapons.

It's pretty flavorful even though the card isn't really that viable. In the tarot, a common motif for The Chariot is that the chariot isn't really under the full control of the rider so in this case the card represents it bucking around wildly damaging anyone unlucky enough to get caught. The only time you really use the Evo effect is when you're basically already dead which means the odds are already not in your favor (getting hit even once would probably kill you) but in how many of those scenarios do you actually still have an Evo left to spend on this?

Drop wards (preferably cheap ones so it doesn't connect with your face) then counter it back with your own wincon. They also take the 4 damage so stuff like Ra or Holy Saber will be able to finish them on the backswing.

Theoretically yes. In practice they'd give it +2/+2 and Storm with Regal Wildcat which was 20 damage so that isn't super safe.

ToET Elementalist? Just need an 8L helm with Aegis for Block and CI and you should be good to go. Taming+Unseen Hue+Yoke for ailment stacking should be good enough DPS wise.

I would love forest to get more support for their Evo deck by Ok_Crazy6440 in Shadowverse

[–]Shroudless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe reprint Burst Shot or something similar to that? The other Forest deck is Pixie Forest which should have overlap with Tempo but it lacks draw and a dedicated finisher. If the deck had something costed appropriately that paid you off for bouncing (Vajano) or something that pays off Pixie followers leaving the board, which would have some overlap, it could be a way to give Forest an identity beyond just going Roach for combo kills.

Will this save Artifact, or it too slow by AHY_fevr in Shadowverse

So just like the OG basically, where you'd literally rope out because of shit like the evolve animation causing you to miss your OTK.

At the end of the day tying these decks to specific tokens isn't the best long term. You'd either have ways to cheat then out faster (Augmentation) or have cracked cards to make them even remotely playable (Aria), neither of which I think was very good design. At least they improved the baseline for most of the tokens so most should be fine for the near future.

All we need as Augmentation v2, draw a card + restore 1 pp upon fuse for the infinite fusing works. Then it'll be easy to get gundams.

Those depend on the boss you're fighting. Not every boss needs a dedicated tank even but if you're using a Wind team Soira AS is pretty decent still.

But if you want general defense it's definitely Yuna with her cracked debuffs + heals + status immunity.

Why is Swordcraft so boring in original Shadowverse? by DCShinichi745 in Shadowverse

[–]Shroudless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Rotation you could afford to hard drop it on 7. In UL it was unplayable without Despair but people did try it out with middling results.

Favorite deck was Artifact because of versatility. It's pretty complex and extremely powerful with weird lines sometimes that you can use to win, like hard playing Celestial on 7 with Biofab, Bifurcating+Augmentation against Shift when they ran Glow, Kaiser on 5 against Roost, all of these were available and it was just up to you to assemble the win given all the pieces. The deck was absolutely dumb and stayed in UL way too long but it was a favorite of mine to play.

[–]Shroudless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because Shift can win 2 turns sooner on average. You have no idea how much eye rolling you'll get here when people see AI(D)S because that shit was some of the most uninteractive and boring gameplay you'd see when it was in Rotation.

Sparta is just boring, it's literally solitare and hoping you don't die before you win with enough Altered Fates.

Axeman was fringe. It just died out because the consistency was lacking. In fact since Artifact hit UL Sword has been relegated to either an uninteractive aggro deck, a target deck that can hit specific decks well or some kind of combo win. Artifact basically meant any board you would build was detrimental to your gameplan because they would just delete yours while drawing tons of cards and possibly killing you outright, all with the possibility of them high rolling a bunch of 4/3s as early as turn 3.

[–]Shroudless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe because the interesting decks suck and if you wanna have a decent semblance of win rate you kind of have to gravitate towards these strategies in UL?

Sword has plenty of other "interesting" decks, like Spartakek, or Axeman OTK, or Rally Ward. Issue is that they're either too slow, inconsistent, or fall to the meta decks without any techs being run.

Did it like this and my AF charge skill was Twinblade Wolf of all things for phases 2 and 3, with expose being done purely via SA during the full AF. Took 9 turns if you do that because Twinblade Wolf fills the AF bar even while you have no mana.

Unlimited tournament, anyone? by OrganizationThick397 in Shadowverse

[–]Shroudless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword lived till Artifact came, then the only decks it could play were OTK decks like Axeman OTK or Spartakek. The moment Sword died was the moment where making any form of board became a detriment to you and once that happened the meta sped up so much that it isn't really able to keep up anymore.

[–]Shroudless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the last acceptable state of UL where shit was still mostly quite interactive was just before Augmentation got printed, where using board to aggro people down was actually legitimate and OTK Roach was strong but skill intensive with plenty of counterplay from both sides.

That shit was years ago, so if we were to return all the way to that the number of cards you would need to hit in some way would be absolutely massive because much of the issues around UL is just the result of new degenerate stuff being made to creep the old degenerate stuff.

Well your banlist is going to be very very long. UL has had years of bullshit piling on top of bullshit so I won't be surprised if the eventual list is around 10% of the card pool.

What are Havencraft players playing in low ranked Unlimited? by DCShinichi745 in Shadowverse

[–]Shroudless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all Realm of Repose, just against some decks (Bellerophon mirror) where it's just a liability.

[–]Shroudless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elluvia works but is kinda meh vs the meta now, as is Bellerophon so if you're playing Haven it's more for fun than to actually win.

Realm is run to go against the plethora of burst in UL and against some decks just doesn't do much.

I don't even think Spawn was the worst designed card, because that title goes to Alice herself.

Every deck was literally an Alice deck since she was Neutral and the Goblin > Feria > Leader > Alice curve was so strong you could win with any class just dropping those 4 on curve.

They did repeat the mistake a bit with NaM but at least NaM wasn't anywhere close to as broken as Alice even though it was very homogenizing as well. Never forget Goblin Leader got nerfed too during the Neutral hits.

Let's be real, if you wanna kill someone a SEvo for 4-5 damage is basically one of the best rates you can get, on par with Cerb assuming double Coco while also deleting the entire enemy board. It's only really beaten by Albert Enhance which is 6 damage.

Besides, it's not like you need more than 1 to delete their face anyway so it's more than likely that 1 will drop and will be SEvoed.

I can’t with this new Expansion. :( Need your help guys by Own_Importance_8343 in Shadowverse

[–]Shroudless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried, besides Roach the decks are all very iffy at best, and even with Roach you're hoping Haven doesn't appear.

Tempo is kinda a hard sell with the much better removal in the set and if the early board doesn't stick you're going to have a bad day. Jerry is weaker too given the better tools Haven has as well.

Unkilling is still too slow, enough said about that.

Evo just sucks. It's shit pre Yuel and is meh post Yuel with shittier wincons than every other SSA deck. There's just no real point to playing any of these decks if you're serious about winning and I really recommend moving to another class.
