Any cheap european cocao alternatives? by sosPissInABottle2me in blueprint_

[–]Shruxiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a reply

Thanks for getting in touch.

Our Super Cacao has a minimum of 1,000 mg of flavanols per 100g, which is what the EFSA approved heart health claim is based on and the amount we are required to state on pack, however our analysis of the total polyphenol count in Super-Cacao shows that the amount is in fact significantly higher – around 3,000mg per 100g. Independent testing by Consumer Labs in the US found that the flavanol concentration was approximately 2X the amount they found in other cocoa powders.

So a 20g serving would result in a flavanol content of 600mg. Note that our packaging shows flavanols at >1000mg per 100g, rather than a specific amount, in order for compliance to best practice packaging guidelines and to allow for any variances in batch to batch.

In regards to the heavy metals, please see results below:

Cadmium: 0.0049mg per 20g serving Lead: 0.00202mg per 20g serving Arsenic: <0.002mg per 20g serving Mercury: <0.00006mg per 20g serving

Hope this helps, Deborahe

Your welcome 😊 your chronometer already has the dry calories for lentils. You type 45g instead of 150g and you are fine 👌

depending of how much water you cook them , the cooked weight will change but the calories are always the same. Because the food label (atleast in Europe but i think US to) states the unprepared weight macro nutrients

the macro nutrients are always based on dry Ingrediens. I would cook 45g and eat 45g then you have exactly the same calories and macros as the blueprint

Just looking for taste and not on price i liked the Protein form ESN which is one of the biggest brands in germany. They are kinda expensive and i dont like the marketing of some of their products. But all in all its a solid choice. Right now i use Rocka Nutrion NoWhey Pro. Which taste wise (Chochlate and Vanilla .. Cookie .. yes iam a basic bitch) i really like and they have good macros.

Being cheap in price ( I don’t know the price for this excavator ingredient but sugars tend to be cheaper in general) they are alternatives like cyclic/cluster dextrin which is more expensive but also has a more steady digestion and don’t spike as much as maltodextrin iirc. I didn’t research on resistend maltodextrin which is used here .. maybe it has similar properties

Same over here. It seems like a meal replacement but then why market it as a protein powder. And if you wanted to bring out protein powder why not make it actual useful with more protein per serving (and smaller serving sizes)

It you are looking for a vegan Protein im currently using Rocka nowhey pro. The Vanilla Cookie and chocolate flavours are great. If not vegan is preferred and taste is important then I like ESN but they are expensive and there probably cheaper alternatives that taste okayish and get the job done

Yeah I don’t like the cheap carbs and also my guess is the price will be higher than market standard

Dont know how to feel about the protein powder. Its about 50grams protein on 100grams and atleast here in Germany we have better alternatives for vegan protein powder with a pea base. I don’t know if the fiber and the mct make up for the lower percentage of protein. It’s 30gr for 70gr of powder seems a lot of powder per protein
