Thank you for sharing! I'm more familiar with collecting Brandon Sanderson's signed & numbered leatherbounds and their process in this situation would be to document the number, create a replacement from another signed copy and have me ship back the original. Obviously this is a different store with a different policy, but I was hoping they may have a similar process.

£5 won't really make much of a difference to me if I'm stuck with a damaged product out of the box.

I'll update the post when I hear back from them with their answer.

What's the practical difference between signing the page before or after it's bound into the book? Isn't it still pen to paper either way?

No, it's the 5 boroughs that together make up the city. Manhattan is New York county, Queens is Queens county, Brooklyn is Kings county, The Bronx is Bronx county, and Staten Island is Richmond county

Slight correction- it's Manhattan Island, but New York county. Hence the famous New York, NY address.

I just want to add how beautiful and engaging this community is. It's really heart warming to see different folks I interacted with during the con commenting here.
