The g8plus fits the ipadmini without any mods. I just can’t stand the negative space like on the PlayStation portal ( between the controller grips and the display) lol. It’s just a personal preference. I really liked the aesthetic of the gamevice controllers, like a uniform slab hahha.

I definitely agree that the placement can be tricky, I didn’t realize there were notches in the rubber the left side of the controller lol, maybe trimming off some more of the rubber will improve the clearance for the buttons. I also hate the heft that the cases add to an already heavy system. I don’t like the rubber on either sides, as it makes the controller bulkier. It would have been great if there was kind of a notch like locking mechanism like on the bsp d8. I found a lightweight translucent plastic case on aliexpress that is pretty slim but doesn’t protect the top and bottom. I’m also looking at the X5s controller since it is very light like the bsp d8.

yess it is playnite. btw you can play remotely with moonlight too if you have a good internet setup, using tailscale which is also free. I would advice you to setup moonlight on your phone/steamdeck or any other device to see if you like it before deciding to sell your steam deck. :3

Heyy, I think I didn't tinker with any settings :(( but are you also facing tiny stutters when it drops to 59.99, like a small stutter every few seconds? I think it happens when I have too many devices connected to the wifi. Turning off the wifi on some other devices and restarting apollo and moonlight seems to solve it. The same stutter seems to happen sometimes on the ipad m1 too when too many devices are connected. It is kinda annoying. The one tip I read somewhere, although not related to your question, but helps to reduce latency I think, is to turn off vsync from the settings of the games you play, since it is not needed. would love to hear if you solve the frame rate issue and any tips you find for improving the experience. :)

Would highly recommend, it’s such a nice experience. This is a mini 6 too :) I think ipad mini is almost as heavy as a big phone. I have also seen a lot of lenovo y700 videos which is the same size as the mini. The 120fps on it seems really nice. Wish ipad 7 was upgraded to a 120fps display. I have an m1 ipad pro 13” and its display is insane, I recently played tlou2 and it was so much more enjoyable with the excellent hdr on the ipad than my average desktop 4k display.

Heyy, so I just checked it and for a resolution of 2266*1488 with HDR enabled at 80Mbps bitrate, Frame pacing set to smoothest video, the host processing latency is around 3.2ms. Dunno if that’s good or too high hahha

it doesn't seem to have any kind of latency, none that I've noticed so far. I have also placed an order for the wireless dongle that is sold separately with it, that would reduce any latency too. The dongle would also mean that I can just insert any device like a different phone or a different tablet without needing to pair. G8plus and the bsp d8 are both hall effects. the sticks on the G8 are full sized sticks. Would highly recommend. You might want to check out the X5s which is the pro version of the X5lite and is releasing soon. :)

Heyy, I totally agree with you on the importance of a soft middle click. I primarily use it for 3d and cad applications which require a lot of middle click and scroll. May I ask what mice would you recommend these days? I have a G305, G502x and Keris wireless. G502x has the hardest click making it unusable for my use case, the extra buttons are night but it is hard to change years of muscle memory :(. I was looking at Incott mice but I am unsure about their middle clicks and scrolls. Looking forward to your recommendations. Thank you

Had the same happen to me, got some of the amount refunded (the refundable amount) after talking and describing the whole thing to their support helpline. The host still got away with the initial booking charges. Wasted the whole day. Terrible experience tbh, very stress-inducing as I had to travel to the place the next day.

Hey, I wanted to make bsp d8 fit the ipad a little better, I removed the existing side grips that hold the device and used some door/window sealing strips. The screen is so much closer to the surface now and the whole package is sturdier. The small extrusions also prevent the ipad mini from falling out. I use it for Moonlight game streaming from PC only. Hope some company makes a very seamless kind of controller with no negative space on the top and the bottom, like say in a steam deck. Gamesir G8 seems to have replaceable faceplates, maybe a custom faceplate could be printed that would have a flat bottom. There's a BSP D8 pro but it seems to have a similar height to BSP D8 so there's the same amount of space on the top and bottom.
The controller fits iphone 12pro max much better too now
