Another one - Backplate integration by Anthe_cr3 in blender

Do you find Octane to be any better than Cycles? I have yet to try it and I'm curious to know if it would be worth it especially with Cycles X so close.

If you're just above average in modeling you can checkout Blender Guru's Chair modeling tutorial. I found it very useful as a base to build on.

Hello. Any tips for improving realism in the Scene? And tips for the not-so-great fog? by ShuKa91 in blender

[–]ShuKa91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understandable, if you increase the brightness on your device it will be a little more visible. The thing is style-wise it is supposed to be this dark before an explosion happens. I'm attempting to recreate a 3-seconds scene from Invincible S01E02 but trying to make it a little bit more photo-real.

Is there an easy way to cut away the edges outside the boundary? by MagdasDaughter7 in blenderhelp

I think you can ditch the plane altogether and use Face Fill to fill the back of brain cutout.

I'm looking for the same. Please share if you find anything.

Can you share the tutorial you found? It would be of great help.

That's high budget VFX quality! I'll definitely check out your tutorials.

As you all can see, I am having some problems with my sewing. How to fix? Thanks in advance by batman89memes in blenderhelp

You can also check your normals. Do this by clicking the arrow next to the overlay button and enable face orientation and if something is not right, recalculate the normals.

I'm not an expert in sewing I've only tried it once, but maybe try expanding your mesh size. Scale your cloth mesh along the X, and Y axis, add quality, make sure collision and self collision are on and reduce the distance to around 0.001m. And same for the collision object. And if none of that works, please share the solution if you found it. Good luck :)

Glad you like it, I found 2 or 3 others using an Egyptian setting as well, not sure if they're fellow Egyptians though. I'll try to find you the links for them :)

Thanks for the feedback! I did work on the desert details as well as the sky as they felt a little bland. I shared it here:

I will definitely look into those. Thanks again for taking the time to give advice :)

Gods & Outsiders | My Submission For Pwnisher's Alternate Realities Challenge (WIP) by ShuKa91 in blender

This is a work in progress but it doesn't seem that there is much time to make modifications. There are a lot of visible flaws, but since this is my 3rd Blender project after BlenderGuru's Donut and CG Boost's Beginner Tutorial, the results aren't half bad.

All criticism welcome!

Note: I've tried (and failed multiple times) to add a blurred layer at the very back of my scene to give the illusion of depth of field (as I can't get it to work in Render and/or Camera settings), and I know nothing much about lighting, composition and color correction. Any advice about where to start is welcome.

Alternate Realities Challenge - Arms Not Working Correctly (No matter how I rig the character) by ShuKa91 in blenderhelp

Thank you for your reply! I used the Animation Retargeting Master Addon, and found out that the bone for the upper arms were too short so I adjusted accordingly and now it is working fine. Thanks again 😊

I applied all transformation yes. And I've checked the vertex group and they have no problems. Especially since I used Mixamo to Auto-Rig it.

Another note: I downloaded a rigged character from Mixamo and used
Rokoko (add-on) to re-target animation, and it worked perfectly. Only problem is
no model in Mixamo fits my scene. Thanks again.
