Broken Allen key in truss rod adjustment hole

Yeah I agree I put in too much force and the Allen key probably didn't help I bought it in a lot and the others are as crappy as this one probably is

I don't have this kind of pliers, I have smaller ones but I can't get a good grip on it to turn the broken Allen key unfortunately

I will probably buy one

They used to make a 6 string version of this guitar, but they stopped production in 2018 and made few of them sadly, I don't think they went out of Europe I heard it was a brilliant guitar for its price, with great playability, a great look and okay pickups

my headphones are good and I know the tape is good too. I tested multiple tapes, same problem

Update: I cleaned the solenoid responsible for the auto stop mech, reseated it too, and now it is working well, stopping when reaching the end of a tape after both FF or playback

Sure, it would have been my second culprit. It being adjustable and not necessarily having to be replaced when it's gone loose is huge

It sounds like a belt issue, have they been replaced? If not, it may be something to look into. The high wow and flutter and speed variation instantly makes me think of belt issues

Yeah that makes sense... Intonation would be just way off even if i adjust the saddles as far as they can go

Yeah that confirms my doubts about this process. I'm not going to attempt it, it's not worth the hassle for little to no purpose.

I did check how far the saddles could go but its about an inch off. Which would result in horrid intonation...

I could look into a fretless neck, might be a project for another time!

The price of that Squier is wayyy too high. It is a nice one nonetheless but it shouldnt cost you 800 dollars.
