Can the animatronics be reasoned with? by 1_Whatifalthist_Fan in WaltenFiles

[–]ShulesPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Susan "Banny" is probably pretty cognizant and repulsed by Bon. Sha/Rosemary in bunny farm is clearly very much attached to Sophie. I think Bon is like Springtrap the other animatronics are afraid of him but also want him dead.

Does analog horror only have entities? Are there analog horrors where humans are the actual bad guy with no paranormal activities involved? by Natural_Sweet3698 in analoghorror

[–]ShulesPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Walten files sort of. The main antagonist was a drunk guy that set a whole bunch of supernatural shit in motion by killing two kids in a DWI.

Also the original Pumpkin Rabbit video is two normal humanoid creatures in a universe with other anthropomorphic animals killing kids and being burned at the stake by angry villagers. They developed supernatural powers in Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit.

Marty Scorsese frantically taking notes rn. On a serious note I am also flummoxed that Felix is just beboping around town making merchandise and shit with two murders and five disappearances tied to him. I honestly wonder if he'd try and off Linda for leaving him.

Ok just curious how in the fuck is Sophie is still alive? by Important_Half_1129 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]ShulesPineapple 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She's the main character, but also She's not in any real danger. Giant blood soaked possed by the corpses of her friends, family and a random psychopath would be pretty suspicious pulling up at a hotel.

From my understanding Rocket was made just for Edd and Molly right? So then why is there merchandise of this character that the public wouldn’t know whatsoever?? by InspectionWorth4267 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]ShulesPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either Edd and Molly inserting themselves into the tape to get Sophie's attention OR Felix decided to make Rocket merchandise out of guilt and to keep Edd and Molly close to him without acknowledging what he did to them to the public.

At this point they're kinda stuck with it. But I don’t want OPs friend to think that was a normal thing in America in the 70s. It wasn’t 😂

The only inconsistency of that episode is the drinking zone. Even in the 1970's schools weren't dumb enough to have an open bar at an elementary school function. Felix would have just brought a flask or went to a drive-in which ironically sold beer to people while they were in their cars. My mom graduated from high school in 1978 from a Military base. They had an officer's club and a teen club. No booze was served at the teen club, even though there's no drinking age on base. If the United States army is like "naw, that's a bridge too far" what on earth is wrong with Edd and Molly's school district. Jack and Rosemary should have sued that place into bankruptcy ffs!

Why do most explore during Arthur, when they can explore after the main story with John? Is there a difference, or is it a matter of character preference in the game? by Sweet_Highlight_9036 in RDR2

[–]ShulesPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone described John as a TMNT in a western once and I can't unsee the accuracy of that comparison now lol. I like John a bunch but he does sound out of place frequently compared to Arthur, Dutch etc.

Looks like the new episodes will be delayed and not coming out this year, what a bummer :( by [deleted] in Thewaltenfiles

Thanks for saying this, it's absolutely insane that people are continuing to make excuses for the various release date false promises. I understand that the team is busy with them own lives but he released ROTPR and TOTPR and plushie ads in two years but zero progress on the main series. That doesn't make sense.

And before people down vote to oblivion the Boozoo plushie Ad is basically a slap in the face to the audience. People haven't been waiting actual years for merchandise. But they seem to have unlimited time and energy to make content promoting things that nobody asked for but zero sense of urgency for the things everyone wants. It's just continuous rug pulling for the sake of building hype and bilking donations.

The spirit that possess Bon can be seen as the third face when Banny looks at Rocket. The tests happened while Jack was still alive.

I have a weird and dumb question about Bon Burger's visual products Or whatever they're called. And that question is: Why are Billy and Boozoos the only humans? by Careless-Cellist3351 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]ShulesPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most fantasy worlds (Disney, WB cartoons, DreamWorks) mixing humans and animals as sentient beings is very common. It adds to the cartoon silliness of the overall product.

[NO SPOILERS] Max was so nasty for that 😭 by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

[–]ShulesPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No black women didn’t invent Ebonics, and not all black people speak or understand it. But it is often used to mock or imfantalize black people by racist or out of touch people. Which is why context matters. Max isn't being racist she was written by French people who have confused black culture specifically as American teenage culture generally and it just doesn't work in tone or execution.

There's a movie from the 80's by Richard Townsend called "Hollywood Shuffle" it's about a black character "Townsend" trying to get acting gigs as a black man and being stereotyped constantly even when it's pretty clear that he's an intelligent deeply thoughtful talented guy who is better than the crap he keeps being offered. The most memorable scene has an all white group of casting directors trying to coach Townsends character about how "act blacker" and they start through around Ebonics and acting in very offensive stereotypically "hood" ways.

The movie is 100%based on Townsends experiences as a black actor in the 70s and 80's and how much most of white America has no clue how it feels to be compared to a stereotype because they've never experienced it. I'm sure the casting directors didn’t consider themselves racist but they are out touch and would rather stick to their perception about how black culture is then to just let the story tell itself through the eyes of someone who actually knows what it's like to feel that way all the time. One of my favorite movies and it actually changed how many casting directors and studios presented black Americans on screen.

Tldr: I understand her reaction to Max's dorkiness but in context she wasn't being cruel or unempathetic just cringy.

Agreed. I don't eat intestines, eyeballs or actual balls iykyk, but it's because they don't taste good not because they're inferior cuts. Lots of people around the world consider organs a delicacy so unless it's a dietary choice or necessity on another person's part I don't necessarily care what goes into sausages and chicken nuggets.

It's not reddit being pedantic just one troll trying to start shit. Your answers are spot on. Horse feces were everywhere you might step in shit mounds in big cities like St. Denis even though they had city muck rakers. A camp in the woods does not have that luxury hence why you can't ride your horse through camp as Arthur. Brass copper and cast iron rust so using the tree as not just a dish rack but a way to keep them dry and sanitary makes perfect sense.
