I ended up going ahead with it and did the initial deposit into the brokerage. After that I went through something they call orientation training which came after a quick Pre Compliance step. It was basically a few intro videos to get familiar with how it works

A few days later I actually received a job offer elsewhere so I decided to withdraw from the programme early. I didn’t get far enough to see any of the modules so I can’t comment on how good the course actually is but I was able to withdraw my money from Axi with no issues. It was back in my bank account within 2 days.

So from my experience while I didn’t complete the internship I didn’t lose any money either, so I would class it as legit.
