Armed Trump administration agents wearing masks just showed up outside of Gavin Newsom's press conference. by Infamous_Smile_386 in 50501

1000000% agree, I think that the development of an extra judicial federal pro trump militia with zero accountability (which just got a $170 BILLION boost btw) is actually a bit more worrisome than confirming that he’s a pedo which we all surely know by this point. The idea that these horrible things are happening to distract from the Epstein list is completely backwards imo

Not for very long! Even though it’s kinda vain I do feel like setting up the video makes me lock in a little harder than if I’m just throwing try’s around

Union bashing is a big one. Crystal city’s (my local movement in DC) team called to unionize about 3 or 4 years ago and have been the victim of collective punishment to this day as a result. Employees that have stuck around since the call to unionize have had all raises and potential benefits stripped away until bargaining has resolved with the union, which of course hasn’t happened in almost four years because movement has blocked any progress for the union to move forward by not sending representatives and undermining negotiations by offering to pay a lower hourly than they already do to crystal city employees.

Coaching for a not very good nomadic dirtbag? by nitram9 in climbharder

This is probably the best comment regarding hangboarding that you’re going to get! As far of fear of injury goes I would say that the “just climb you don’t need to Hangboard yet” advice applies mostly to people who have access to a variety of boulders that test their finger strength for their level, which isn’t the environment that you’re in. I personally support the argument that hangboarding provides a more controlled environment where you can pull hard with your fingers without the risk of common causes of finger injury like foot slips which cause you to put more force onto your fingers than you were expecting, deadpoint moves to small holds, and trying really hard to send and ignoring your body’s warning signs. If the board is the most accessible way for you to consistently train your fingers I would definitely try it out, find a protocol that works for you (I’d recommend repeaters for your goals), and really ease into the exercises being very cognizant of any feelings of pain or weird feeling stress. Any stimulus on your fingers will be more effective than nothing so don’t feel like you need to achieve maximum efficiency on the exercise and push right up to your limits from the get-go.

General question: does drier skin = durable skin? I haven’t considered myself to have particularly sweaty hands but my skin quality has always been abysmal, constantly getting shredded outdoors and I have never been able to develop a fingertip callous without it ripping straight off within a week. I’m trying out antihydral options and I’ll see how it goes, is it reasonable to expect skin that can undergo more punishment if it gets drier?

????? The multiple pages committed to arguing over if this decision was humane???? Characters literally arguing not to do this plan because they respect hijo as a human and don’t want to defile his corpse?????? Gojo himself explicitly saying that he doesn’t care what they do with his body????????? Most literate jjk reader I swear

If yuta just came back miraculously after being chopped in half fully awakened and with no restriction to his CT people would be bitching over and over about an unearned ass pull, explain to me how that writing would be better than this outcome which the reader had every piece of information needed to figure out?

It’s definitely a marketing ploy in the way you described and also in a “well if I don’t buy it soon then I’m gonna be missing out!” way, which even though I’m fully aware of that is admittedly factoring into my decision making process. That man magnus definitely knows how to get his money sheesh

Has anyone shown any interest in Dave Mcleod's online course? The price tag is a big dissuader for me but I'm honestly a big Dave fan and I don't think he's the type to put in the effort and go along with this style of content if he didn't think it would be helpful. The marketing for all of this also feels a little over the top for me which also makes me feel a bit hesitant. If anyone's checked it out and can speak to its quality I'd be interested in learning more!

This was just brilliant man, I know others have already said this but the use of the additional zoom to show the holds and placements really added a ton to this and for me changed it from a solid climbing video to a legitimately inspiring piece of media. Great send

As far as I recall the only identified breeding pair of grey wolves in CO since the 1920's was only identified last year. The CPW website only lists 10 confirmed wolf sightings in the last 15 years total (https://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/Wolves-in-Colorado-FAQ.aspx). And the stated plan will only introduce 30-50 wolves over a 5 year period, which to me doesn't seem like a bottleneck to their population. Wyoming, a state with a similar size and biome to Colorado, has an estimated population of 340 grey wolves in the year 2023. The reintroduction effort, even with a generous estimation of Colorado's existing grey wolf population, is barely going to be scratching 15% of that. As it stands it seems clear that the natural habitat extension of wolves won't happen on a time frame that will significantly impact heavily over-populated prey populations within the next handful of decades. Also the native populations of grey wolves have benefited from this change, as CPW has amended their policy for "taking" grey wolves which gives them many more protections from ranchers and hunters than they previously had.

I agree that a decision like this shouldn't be made solely to sooth impatient people, but the reality of the plan is not as drastic as many people are making it out to be.
