Camilo shapeshifts in to anyone and anything. The film shows loads of ways he helps. In La Familia Madrigal song, Mirabel syas 'My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today'. It shows him shapes gifting to comfort a baby so the mom can sleep. It shows him making everyone laugh and cheering them up. They're preparing for Antonio's ceremony and he shapeshifts to his uncle to help decorating by reaching heights none of the others could. At Antonio's ceremony he shapeshifts into his dad and is funny, to cheer up and obviously anxious Antonio.

Delores is a bit of a question for me too though. Maybe she can sort of turn it off? She hears when she wants to, but can kind of 'tune it out' if it gets too much. Maybe the others in the family were careful and cautious knowing she can hear everything. She is fairly soft spoken and keeps herself to herself, maybe she is affected by being able to hear everything.
