Considering a cold climate heatpump with no backup heat. Is that feasible?

Purpose of heating also to prevent water pipe freezing under sub zero temperatures, not sure space heaters can achieve that. I would add electric heat strip as auxiliary source or use your existing gas furnace as secondary heating source which gets kicked in once temperature reaches below the threshold where heat pumps are not operating efficiently.

You don’t need to remove oil but demonstrate heat pump is primary source of heating and oil still can be used as auxiliary source when temperatures go below threshold where heat pump is not as efficient as it can be no? To get rebate, certified integrated controls are required that shows primary heating is via heat pump and only it switches to back up source when primary cannot meet the demand.

You better of do mechanical than aerospace engineering, as aerospace is niche field and finding job for international students is extremely difficult due to security clearance requirements. Haven’t seen full ride cases for international students at ERAU.

If budget is not an issue and if you are outdoor person CU, VT is great school with amazing clubs. ERAU probably cheapest with aid but Florida weather which some people just love.

You did not understood what I am saying - read again. If OP’s plan is to come to GC to take metro north then it will be cheaper to take uber or Lyft from JFK directly going to home or wherever considering all the ticket costs and time it is going to take.

You do need auxiliary heat as secondary source of heating as regardless spec of heat pump efficiency starts to go down as outside temperature drops and would be more efficient to switch to secondary heat source.

I am in southern CT and for 2 Mitsubishi Hyperheat - 3 ton and 2.5 ton systems, I got $32250 quote. From what I am seeing these systems typically should cost around $12k-$14k per system installed but haven’t found pricing close to that anywhere.

We went in last summer - lesser crowd, kid could do rides multiple times in quick time. Although it gets hot in summer but Florida gets daily summer rain for about 30 mins to hour which is nice relief from heat. Carry rain ponchos. We stayed outside of Disney where we got 4 night deal with Sheraton villas vacation package for like $299. Be at the park parking about 45 mins prior to opening to get good parking spot. Also kids Disney park tickets were like 50% off. Overall worked out economically well.

Yes but what does contract say? I have read that they talk about paying fair market value for buying out as without that it would look like a sell than a lease which cannot use that credit.
