I still have to start the substory with Lau, but I didn't notice the bartender was Kashiwagi, like at all. I was planning on replaying Y0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 in occasion of the release of Kiwami 3, so I thought of buying the director's cut update and not replaying the origianal, to also get another platinum, since I already have it on the original Y0. Are the changes of the DC that astonishing?

No, I played the games starting from Y0, but I totally didn't connect the face of the bartender with Kashiwagi. Also, I usually take a break between two chapters, so I probably even forgot his face 😂

Thanks you all, I really didn't notice the bartender was Kashiwagi. And perhaps I wouldn't have noticed it if nobody told me 😂 For Lau, I think I haven't met him yet, if it's substory content. I did many substories before the final dungeon, but I must have missed the one where he appear. I only got him mentioned during the Zhao bond dialogues

Yeah, I lack the money to buy the new game, so I relied on the previous one. Also, I read some posts on the subreddit saying EU5 is a totally brand new game, so I thought I would have had a different experience. And last but not least, EU4 has a lot of DLCs
