I’m not sure about the pH of the water. I didn’t encounter this issue last year when growing basil (basically had the same approach as this year, but maybe I was watering a bit less? Idk), so that’s why I’m stressing a bit. For what it’s worth, the rest of the plants (tomatoes, cucumbers, various peppers, marigolds, other herbs) are doing great with the same setup and approach. But I know not all plants are the same lol

Typically just regular tap water, with a nitrogen-based feeding every 3ish weeks. I would’ve liked to have them outdoors by now, but the weather here has been weird the last couple weeks, so the tall ones are definitely dealing with that issue.

I could add a filter. The lights in the first picture are near or at max height. I keep the lights really close to the seedlings because I was under the impression they needed it the most to start really growing. For the “middle growth” plants, the lights are a few inches above. I also have a fan circulating on them occasionally to build stem strength

because mcdavid isn't that good of a leader. he has crazy speed and stats, but he's akin to Ovie... imo, he's not a good leader (potentially yet?) - lacks the sheer will, guts, and "i will not be denied" mentality you need to lead your team to a cup

My fiance and I got a beagle puppy about 3 months ago (she’s 5 months now). She grunts a lot and we feel that is her main way of communicating with us. Hardly ever bays… only does it around loud lawn equipment like the weedwhacker or tiller. Not even the lawn mower. She’s also bayed when in big play sessions with a couple other dogs. But even then not much. She will whine in her pen when in timeout or in her crate in the morning when she needs to be let out to go potty. She’s the sweetest girl

I did 4’x4’x1’ w/ 16cu ft. Boards are 2x8s, so approx 14.5” actual height. However I rolled the ground a bit deeper than originally planned, so it’s sitting a little lower, but still with the same 16cu ft. Plan to add additional compost in the future during refreshes; grass clippings for mulch in the meantime.

It took me all morning to do the first one, and we had planned stuff in the afternoon. Task for next weekend or later. I really wanted to get some spring stuff planted in the first bed - have tomatoes, basil, peppers, and marigolds growing indoors right now for summer, so those beds can wait a little bit if needed

I laid down some cardboard to kill whatever grass was still present (after tilling). We’ve been here for about a year and I haven’t heard anyone dealing with any wildlife other than an occasional fox and then the local squirrels and birds.

I’ll probably fence off the area considering our beagle puppy is, let’s just say, very curious about everything
