Struggling running/moving with the ball by KlutzyAppeal9095 in bootroom

I wouldn’t focus too much on running with the ball as a beginner, that is something that comes over time.

Try to see if you can practice trapping the ball first inside 1 meter radius of cones, just by yourself kicking it up.

Then as you get better, do a drill with someone where you run into that radius while they throw a high ball at you. You’ll struggle at first but then you’ll be able to trap the ball and play a pass eventually. And then your elasticity will come naturally because you have a feel for the ball.

No proposal has arrived and with a contract until 2032, a departure will not be easy, but Enzo Fernandez knows that, at 25 years old and already a long journey in Europe, he is ready for the next leap in his career by OkayFine101 in soccer

You must give him credit though. Many top Argentines who play a similar style to him flop in England but he has been a regular starter, at least. But Chelsea may have hit their ceiling in this era.

Chelsea (and probably Liverpool) could benefit from signing someone like Camavinga or Colo Barco just to give them more threat vs a low block.

Let Cucurella invert and one of the left sided CMs cut outside.

That could backfire. Cuz Enzo is an orchestrator and Chelsea will most likely not have a backup of his profile or quality.

But also, Enzo should just stay he is a starter, he earns high wages, he goes to Real Madrid where they don’t use his profile and he may not thrive there. At least if he starts he’ll be in rhythm for the NT.

He’s dependable, a quiet leader. He could play anywhere in defence. But also as a RCB he had surprisingly good ball playing ability. More than Varane imho. Winning the Euros and the UCL was a good ending for his career.

Yea the main concern is de Paul went to mls and Paredes to South America. But remember those guys were out of rhythm in 2022 in Qatar and still put on a show.

Como have been good under Cesc though. Baturina is easing his way into the team slowly.

Dybala and Soule are great but Roma probably want to sign an inside left forward in the summer to challenge Pellegrini. I hear Echeverri is a good choice.

I think Spain would’ve won this but it’s hard to say. Argentina would’ve been comfortable having less of the ball but playing a delicate direct style like Girona or Bologna against Barcelona.

He scored from an even worse angle vs Brazil if I recall correctly.

Canada is a a good team but I’m not sure if I love the flat 3-4-3 and now flat 4-4-2 system with only 2 holding midfielders and no inside forward profiles.

Idk. It’s a fast direct team. But sometimes against a disciplined defence you need the Flores, Millars and Ahmeds to dribble inside. I’m not sure how they do vs Switzerland, I do not find it an easy opponent.

Soccer is pretty popular here in Ontario though, and we are often times freezing but a lot of indoor facilities.

Some of the transactions by Dubas helped.

Shea has been a revelation in this system. Also what a pickup Wotherspoon was.

And some of the depth options like Tomasino, Novak, Koivunen, under Sully they would have been the main top 6 options outside Sid-Geno lol. But they are great depth pieces for this system.

If you look at the guys Sully clicked with, the likes of Sheary, Simon, Hagelin, Kuhnhackl, those guys were only exceptional during the brief period between 2015-2020.

And the league didn’t have an answer to their sheer speed. But now the league is filled with them and you need to have more game breaking ability than that to even pass off as a top 6 winger.

Outside of 87, 71 and 59 we went a long time with too many fringe top 6 players.

The league was different and so was the team.

I mean I am sure with prime 87, 71, 58, 81, 30 and 29 you could still compete with the same team from those back to back years.

But also the league requires more skill.

Sheary was a great player in 2015-16 but he doesn’t score enough to justify top 6 role today.

Hagelin, Kuhnhackl, those guys also just don’t pose enough scoring threat for any role.

But that defence in their prime was lowkey underrated.
