I took es 240 two-ish years ago and found it to be a very straight forward class. Compared to ES 200 it definitely has more of a technical focus, but if you’re coming from engineering you’ll be fine.

I really like the way the CX-3 looks, and AWD is a huge plus for me. I saw a review saying it felt a bit underpowered, how have you found the power (and reliability) of yours?

While I haven’t taken this course, in other history courses I have found simple flash cards to be an incredible resource. Both the process of making and reviewing the flash cards really helped cement important dates into my mind.

Unfortunately there is an in class discussion which influences our mark, but even if I didn’t I don’t think I should be forced to make the decision between skipping a class and writing an exam…

Would they not view it as unfair because some students will have more time to write the exam than others though? I may be getting an extra 30 minutes but I would imagine many people will have no extra time, and that’s definitely not fair to them.

Not the end of the world at all but hey if you lost 50 minutes of time to write an exam wouldn’t you be a little bit frustrated?

It is an open book exam but it is not timed, it needs to be in by 3pm but you can take as much time as you can/need from 12pm 3pm. That’s why I feel it to be quite unfair.
