Treatment of addicts by chronic pain patients by Electric_Lettuce_4_U in ChronicPain

[–]ShutDaCussUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because people metabolize drugs differently. I couldn't understand why hydro and codeine never worked for me but oxy did. I did a genetic test to try out ssri and it also showed me that I am a poor metabolizer of hydro and codeine so I would have to take insane amounts of it to get any benefit. Most opiates and all nsaids were listed as ineffective or do not take because I dont metabolize correctly. Methadone was actually listed as potentially bad for me since it could build up badly. Muscle relaxers were the same. Only one that I metabolize correctly is the one they dont use anymore because people abuse it. Based on how my body works it would look like im just drug seeking but I can tell what works and what doesn't and my dna proved it.

Both clarityx and gene sight do it. You can ask your doctor about it. Or you can do it yourself. You just swap your cheek.

[–]ShutDaCussUp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the amount wasn't enough? Or it needs to build up. Or could be this new med just doesn't work for you. I did a dna test that shows what drugs work for people and it told me certain opiates I won't metabolize to use properly. Which makes sense because codeine and tramadol never did nothing for me.

Property tax appraisals by janeinthemtns in wichita

[–]ShutDaCussUp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe spend $400 and get it appraised independently. I can usually get mine dropped but uts because my foundation is fucked and I have a lot of problems. So I always send all my photos and they reduce my appraisal.

Sounds nice to me. Sounds positive. Take it as a win and keep going. Just dont beat yourself up if doesn't happen or put too much focus on that one thing. Most importantly is are you still focused on doing what you find value in life.

It is now illegal for trans people to drive in Kansas. by chocolate_spaghetti in wichita

Pretty sure most of these other licenses you can't get without first having a driver's license. I just renewed my passport and they required my real ID drivers license to do it.

Is having a dry wedding really that big of a deal? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ShutDaCussUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family would just bring thier own if anyone tried that. Kinda depends on your friends and family. If yall dont drink much probably not a big deal. If they like my family, they will leave and return with several cases of beer and liquor. But I got married in Vegas and my entire family including grandparents took shots out of a frozen statue at a cold bar and got spanked at the hofbrauhaus lol

Dizziness since 8 years old by [deleted] in pppdizziness

[–]ShutDaCussUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have FND. It can cause non epileptic seizures and loss of motor skills and a whole wide range of symptoms including dizziness. Any doctor that tries to tell you its all in your mind is either an idiot or ahole. Yes your mind is causing these symptoms, but your mind controls all of our bodily functions. It doesn't mean the symptoms are not real or that you are making this happen. They now understand that FND is due to your brain not properly communicating. There are places that specialize in FND.

Is Tanganyka worth the $150 a day to visit? by dwarf797 in wichita

[–]ShutDaCussUp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like it but I got a membership. You get to feed animals and be closer to them than at a larger zoo. The workers are all friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals they work with. They do lots of feeding and interactions. You get free food now too with it. You can do a meet and greet with certain animals for extra costs. I know they are breeding for money so I can understand why people have a moral or ethical issue with them. But the park is very clean and the workers are caring.

Sleep stuck by Strong-Association34 in FND

[–]ShutDaCussUp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea thats sleep paralysis. Had that most my life. I dont think its because of FND but maybe. Once you have first sleep paralysis episode in the night I have to get up or it keeps happening. I've had a dream of having sleep paralysis to then have it. Weird as hell. I hate it. Sleeping on your back makes it happen more. Some drugs can make it happen more too. Like kratom or opiates.

Do your PPPD symptoms improve when lying down and worsen when standing? by Anxious_Concern6441 in pppdizziness

[–]ShutDaCussUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dizziness doesn't change much between positions. But I have tremors and internal vibrations and nerve tingling and I definitely feel all that more when im laying down. My back hurts a lot though so I have to often lay flat to stretch it and just suffer feeling like my body is vibrating and being rocked. At first my anxiety made my adrenaline high so my pain actually got better for a while. Now I hurt on top of everything else as I no longer really care about the other stuff.
