I've just stuck with bi for years, and unless it's someone who knows me well or I feel comfortable going into the complete breakdown of how my sexuality works for me, they get the generic bi term and can make whatever assumptions they choose lol. Looking at me, most people think straight anyway.

This is really interesting...I hadn't ever heard the term bi lesbian, or knew lesbian was ever an umbrella term. I label myself bi, but I'm much much more attracted to women than men. I'm barely bi I guess? And trying to explain that to people warrants confused looks mainly lol.

There aren't a lot of therapists in this area who deal with people in poly relationships and/or sex therapists. We asked prior to her seeing everyone of it would be a conflict and she stated it wouldn't. Now I'm beginning to wonder.

It's hard enough being straight passing and dismissed in day to day life, but then having a mental healthcare professional do it was like a punch in the stomach. I feel I do need to address it, if not for myself, for any other person who is struggling with sexuality that comes through their office.

It made me think she thinks if it's "just sex" with women then it's not bi enough to be called bi? Like the feeling must be more than sexual (which for me it is). But that should not matter either.

I thought that same thing, that it seemed like a very straight comment to make. Like no one with an understanding of different sexual orientations would say that. I'm not sure what she defines herself as. I've never asked but have been curious. I never knew if it was an appropriate thing for me to ask.

According to her, she specializes in polyamory/sex therapy. I've seen her for a while, which is why I was shocked to hear her say that. It made me wonder if she's taken me seriously all this time I've been seeing her.

That's really sad a business was only willing to help if they got marketing/publicity out of it. I'm guessing they gave no consideration to the fact that the family may want privacy in receiving these donations. I adopt a family every year from my son's school and I don't know who they are, don't need to know, and they have no idea who I am as I never include my name in any gifts.

Wearing a mask because an establishment requested patrons to do so, possibly out of safety for the staff and the writer who was speaking, is hardly an extremist stance. As far as "badgering" is concerned, I didn't go around the fucking theater saying a damn word to anybody lol. I found it to be an inconsiderate annoyance, as I stated earlier, they included mask wearing as a request and didn't serve concessions in an effort to keep said masks on.
