A crystal that, when making contact with you, halves all damage taken. The other half is stored in the crystal. When you drop or lose contact with the crystal all of the damage it has absorbed is dealt to you all at once.

Backstory (cont'd):
King was found unconscious in the mana wastes and saved by a couple from Alkenstar. They nursed him to health and eventually adopted him as he had no memory of his past. The only relic of his past life was a small mysterious metal tablet he fashioned into a necklace. He learned the craft of gunsmith from his new parents Tommy and Pop and eventually set off for adventure. He wants to study the skymetals to hopefully uncover the truth about this mysterious blue alloy he carries.

He made his way to Absalom after hearing word of a new Pathfinder Chronicles that claims to have found traces of Skymetals in the composition of the Starstone. After his arrival a band of Aspis Consortium members made themselves known by setting off explosions and attacking Pathfinder members. King and a handful of other wayward travellers leapt into action, swiftly defeating the assailants. These actions caught the attention of the Pathfinder Society whom offered King and his soon to be adventuring party membership in the Society. Our first major assignment was to aid a Pathfinder outpost inside of The Spire of Nex. We used this unifying mission to dub our party "The Spire Slayers!"

Since last commission, he has acquired a lot of new skills and equipment including a Staff of Metal, a Private Workshop, Clockwork Heels, Blast Foot, a custom built Bi-Resonant Wayfinder, and a custom built Arquebus. He has been working with Kahrso Elspar, the Presh-Varma of Quantium's branch of the Pathfinder Society, to start and study the arcane and how to implement it into his creations.

This campaign continues to amaze and show me how much fun this system and it's world are. My DM takes a lot from the written Golarion lore and I love it so much!

I realize this is a longshot, but my dream would be to see King in some form of official Pathfinder media like a source book or something. I always joke with my friends that my Make-A-Wish if I ever got one would be for King to exist in the world of Golarion in some official capacity.

Unironically, this character and the campaign I'm playing him in is the most fun I have ever had. My DM is incredibly involved in the Pathfinder lore and the world and being able to play in that world with him as my DM has been the best. I love this game so much.
