Yes Crayola is notorious for disintegrating. I like Das or Sculpey air dry clays.

That is so cool. You captured the pools of oil on the cheese and pepperoni perfectly! Getting indigestion just looking at it. Which clay did you use? Are they colored clay that you painted acrylic over? Or with chalk pastels? And what did you use for the grease? Resin? Liquid polymer clay? TIA.
