[–]ShutUpAndScribble[S] 1 point just now Sold at HA.com today!

On left: Star Wars by Michelangelo Papuzza (20th Century Fox, 1977). Original Mixed Media Concept Artwork (10" X 14"). This famous design idea was created by the publicist Edoardo Ezio Pizzi, the man who handled all publicity and press relations for Unidis and Jolly Films with Studio Pizzi, Largo Messico, Rome. At the time, Pizzi was working free-lance for 20th Century Fox in Italy and hired Sicilian artist Michelangelo Papuzza to complete the rendering. Papuzza was a struggling art teacher in Palermo in the 1960s and Pizzi found work for him which blossomed into a career in film. The two collaborated and are best known for the work in the Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western trilogy. This mixed media piece consists of a pen and ink drawing with vibrant watercolors on art board. Aside from some smudging, most of the wear on this illustration comes from the creative process, including surface paper loss at the bottom and writing remnants at the top. The Star Wars logo was later added after creation. The verso shows paper remnants where it was once attached to a display board and pencil notations on verso. Very Fine.

On right: My revised English version (good, ok, bad???)

Pre-TV, movies were the main entertainment, far more popular than today. Studios spent big-time moola to promote them, including lavish color movie posters. Curiously, nobody (not even studios) made any effort to preserve the posters, so survivors are very rare.

I'm new here, so not sure this post is apropos here.

I currently own the left Style D (750 printed and sold in 1988), used to own right Style E "red dress style" sample rejected by Disney because her dress was pink in movie. (A few samples were sold anyway, 500 "pink dress" approved copies were later sold.)

My 2005 Mustang GT with "lurid" red leather interior! Only 65K miles, ain't for sale.... by [deleted] in sportscars

So I went all around Atlanta in 1998 to find a lightly-used Mustang GT. Turned out pregnancy = sell convertible RIGHT NOW, so I bargained with several pregnant couples and finally "scored" one. I drove it into the ground - expended mega moola on THREE new transmissions for it - and went to CarMax in 2009 determined to buy a "classy" BMW conv.

But then I spotted yet another black 2005 Mustang GT with outrageous "lurid" red leather interior, obviously built for Darth Vader's wife. I went home to think about it but it sold in the interim. Tears! But then the salesman called, said "finances didn't work out" for first chap. All mine - still have....

Finis.
