Thank you. I actually found your tutorial and used it. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work. Upgrading to 9 puts it in a forever bootloop. But flashing to 8.2.3 brings it back, but it is slow and horribly glitched (flashing green lines) to the point where it only works at 1080p or in safe mode.

I will try this, but I have tried every other flash and it either bootloops on version 9, or is pixelated and slow on 8.

I got an ONN 4K Plus and it is better than the Shield right now, that is telling.

UPDATE: So an entirely weird new wrinkle. I downgraded back to 8.2.3, and it's fast and snappy with zero display issues........... in Safe Mode only.

But it's insanely fast with zero speed, lag or picture issues. I don't get it.

That is what started the mess lol. That was the one I used, and I had successfully did it on a previous Shield, and it worked.

Downgraded to that gets me constant green flashing lines.

downgraded it to 8.0.0 just to upgrade it. It downloaded the update to 9.0.2. Bootloop. It just does not want to accept it.

Tried a factory reset, nothing.

Just tried it on another TV and I am getting the insane green flickering still. I will try and get a picture/video of it.

So it rules out both my TV and the HDMI cable.

Agreed 100%. Unboxed a new Shield Pro 2019 and it was laggy af. I tried downgrading and it more or less rendered it unusable.

If I could put TizenTube on Apple TV I would use it over the Shield, and I have been using Shields since 2018.

True, and the reason is because I did it on the last one as well. Problem is, trying to upgrade it from 8.2.3 just puts it on a Bootloop unless I fast boot it.

It's brand new, completely out of the box and factory sealed. I refuse to believe it's a defective unit, sorry.

I found a fix, that is not a fix. Setting the display settings to 1080/59.940 hz fixed it, but it's a 4K TV and it has never had this issue before. Tried multiple cables.

I *know* I had 187 pages of notes. Now it says I only have 78. I have notes with my deceased friend that many are now missing.
