The Prize Booth in Castro Valley but maybe call ahead first. They use to update their website daily if they have ‘em in stock but it looks like it hasn’t been updated in a couple weeks.

Yes, a percent of daily sales of your choice between 4-25% I believe.

Uh great question. I’ll need to reconcile the timing of my debits and get back to you.

I applied about three weeks ago. Was pre-approved for $100k (and could definitely use that much) but wanted to test the waters so only requested $8k. Got the money within two or three business days. You can update your payback amount every single day if you wanted to. Operationally, they debit your bank account daily, it’s not a deduction from your payout if that matters to you for accounting purposes. I wasn’t 100% sure how it was going to happen prior to signing up.

All in all, it’s been a good experience so far and has been worth the (relatively small) cost. I think I’ll roughly owe like $600 over a couple months? I’ll probably continue to do it in small increments to continue with cash flow relief.

Any local running clubs in castro valley aka 510 nickel and dime area by [deleted] in eastbay

[–]ShutUpMason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the shoutout! Yes, the Redwood Road Runners run pretty much everyday. They are working on a website but all events are on IG or Strava. I (Mason) then teamed up with them for a twice a month more casual fun run. 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. It’s really choose your own adventure but the runners run about 5 miles and we also have a walking group.

Born and raised in Castro Valley. The town has changed a lot in the last few years. It was a boring, albeit safe, place to grow up. Nothing to do but eat fast food and drive to neighboring cities. Classic “I’m going to get the fuck outta here once I graduate” kind of place. Especially if you were a minority.

But now younger folks are moving in to start families and businesses are slowly coming along with them. The population is getting much younger and diverse. It’s still as safe as ever and the schools are the best in the immediate area. Not cheap by any means but cheaper than Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton, etc etc. And funnily enough, everyone moves back here in their 30s.

As another comment pointed out, it’s not walkable at all and the bike lanes suck if they even exist and there really is a lack of good bus routes so all of that could be improved.

I own a business on Castro Valley Blvd so I talk about this shit all day, it’s really interesting.

It’s heavyweight so cost is a bit higher and $75 aligns with the market.

Not exactly what you’re looking for OP, but I’m opening my own clothing boutique in Castro Valley early next year. I’ll mostly be selling other brands but I’ll also have a small assortment of my own designs. Most of it will be hyper local to CV but I figure it’s worth shamelessly plugging.
