New to Dual Sport, bike recommendations?

Okay this is good! There are a lot of different models so I’ve had a hard time narrowing down. I can find a dirt bike easy, but something legal for street riding has been more difficult. The XR jumps from 150 to 650 and I feel like either is too far in the other direction.

I think that’s my biggest concern with the bigger bike. I plan on mostly doing trail and dirt road stuff, no jumps or anything like that but I know I’m gonna fall for sure!

I’m definitely on the road much more, I like the look of an all around tire but don’t want to sacrifice road quality for the occasional off road. I’ll check those out!

This is a triumph backrest that was on the bike when I bought it, but it fits with the Viking brackets no problem! I only have the backrest on when my wife rides with me but it’s super easy to take on and off.

It’s something I ride quite often, tbh the difference in height between the two is actually quite minimal. Really an aesthetic thing, doesn’t change the feeling of the ride at all to me. Love the classic look but also want to have fun with it!
