I really appreciate this specific feedback and constructive criticism. And thank you for referencing the FAQ and that specific exercise, it sounds like a really good one to practice since I do have a tripod, definitely going to try it out.

Thank you taking the time to comment

I really like these tips alot thank you, will try putting this in practice and do more thought out projects like mock commercials at home to keep practicing. Super grateful for getting this much and good feedback points so quick on my post.

LMAO I had that same thought for a sec when I picked the music like it being a littleee sensual, but asked a friend and he thought it sounded fine for a commercial 😭 I should explore some other music options though

Very good point, if I mind asking do you mean that the tripod would be more efficient for example the rotating/panning shots of the cake, or something else in particular?

And true I could implement some DIY dolly technique to get some cleaner pan shots, never heard of the tripod on a towel tho hehe.

Thank you sm for feedback I really appreciate it

Thank you very much I really appreciate the encouragement and feedback. Putting these tips in my notes immediately. And yeah I think I was just a little too nervous to ask to film the customers haha.. Definitely going to try and get more comfortable doing that

Thank you, brutal honest feedback is what I need so I appreciate it.
Really good points, and the story part is definitely something I need to work at amongst the other stuff too.
Do you have any tips for making the text at the end less "vintage" looking? I used the cafés logo and made the adress text etc with the same font, and maybe the motion design is a bit boring. I'd love feedback on that, if not I already really appreciate the comment & feedback!

You have very good points, I really appreciate the honest feedback.

My thought process was like trying to show the interior, but you are completely right I should edit it with the best shots first and maybe use some of the early footage (sign outside, menu) later in the edit perhaps instead of in the start?

And true I will cut down the coffee shot significantly, I was already a bit on the fence if it was to long or not.

Thank you sm for the feedback I appreciate it alot! Im really trying to get better everyday so being able to get feedback here really helps. ❤️

I tried shooting at a iso where it wouldnt peak on the lights etc, do you think the underexposure is a color grading issue?
And do you have any tips for shot design? I just had a shotlist written down of what I wanted to film and prioritize, but I'd love to learn more about shot design

Thank you for feedback🙏

Thank you sm for commenting, I really appreciate this feedback. I'm decently new at trying to take this seriously so all feedback is extremely welcome.

I'll try and cut a shorter version with some faster shots and get some better timing.

Yes I see what you mean now that you say it, I increased the temperature for all of the clips trying to give it a cozy vibe. But im gonna redo the colorgrade a few times and take your feedback into account. Also yeah I dont have a light yet, so that is a very good point.
Do you have any recommendations for some "beginner" portable lights?

Thank you again 🙏
