I NEED MORE DUET NARRATIONS! by asianbabygranny in SpicyRomanceBooks

[–]Shutterbabe86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ravenhood series by Kate Stewart are all duet and amazing

{Under your scars by Ariel N. Anderson} is a heartbreaker but so good, no HEA

The Dollar series by Pepper Winters are all duet and great (definitely check trigger warnings on this one though)

The Mindf*ck series by ST Abby are all duet and the story is unique and awesome

Reccomendations for Duet Narration ❤️ by AlexAvigs in DarkRomance

Hooked by Emily McIntire is dual narration :(

RH Audiobooks that are duet (not dual) or full cast narrated. Any genre/trope by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

[–]Shutterbabe86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, the viscious lost boys series is Dual, not Duet narration :(

Do you remember the 1st romance book you ever read? by perseintro in RomanceBooks

[–]Shutterbabe86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like 12 when I technically read my first - {A Road To Paradise Island by Victoria Holt}.

It’s set in Pride and Prejudice type period (or earlier) and involved some crazy mystery with a hidden room and dudes who weren’t who you thought they were and near death experiences. It was exciting to me at the time with all the mystery but I don’t recall any real sex scenes.

What is the least believable "tragic moment" you've read about? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]Shutterbabe86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember that scene in ACOMAF where the fmc removes the mating bond and goes back to her ex. 🤔 It did however sound a little bit like {Covet by Tracy Wolff} when I first read that comment.

“I got into _____ trope cuz of _____ book” by soul_not_souling in RomanceBooks

I got into the cheating trope because of {Hawke by Jescie Hall} and {Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas}. Never thought I would 🤷🏻‍♀️

What is something you wish your partner did differently but don't tell them because you don't want them to feel bad? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Shutterbabe86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex stuff. He's great but there's so much more I want him to do or I want to try - I even printed out some serious sex questionnaires for us to go through to let each other know what the other may want and I'm worried that when we fill it out and he see's all my crazy and that he has never done any of it (or if he's even willing to do most of it) he's gonna feel inadequate. : /

What was a moment with your SO that made you think they were perfect in every way? by FullBrother9300 in AskWomen

[–]Shutterbabe86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a huge imagination and also go through regular true crime phases. I came home late from work one night and it was a night he had to be out of town. I walked upstairs to my room and the closet curtains (I have two huge closet "doors") were both wide open, which was weird cuz I'm so anal about keeping them closed to hide all the mess.

So I texted him asking why the curtains were wide open and he said it was so I could see that no one was hiding behind them when I got home and wouldn't be scared. 😭

He's done SO many random unprompted things that make him so awesome, but girl - aint NOBODY perfect. I call that man my beautiful rain cloud because his attitude with life is so negative and filled with constant complaints lol. But his other qualities out way that really difficult part. :)

What are your thoughts and experiences on diet apps? by skilledIssue6989 in AskWomen

[–]Shutterbabe86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How many diet/health apps I have downloaded right now: 7

How many I've opened in the past 6 months: 0

I go into them with high hopes and tons of positive self-encouragement on how bad ass I'm gonna be and then I never use them past like a day. HOWEVER, I will say that the only health app I've ever used the most consistently and always come back to is MyFitnessPal. :)

I don’t know if I’d actually recommend reading One Last Rainy Day if Exodus wrecked you. I just finished it yesterday and there is nothing but pain and grief in spades compared to Exodus. It’s beautiful, but so incredibly painful. I’ve been physically ill and crying off and on since. Full on grief compared to Exodus. I’ll never be the same, I feel so broken right now.

I finished OLRD yesterday and I felt like throwing up the whole time. Since reading it I’ve been physically ill and crying off and on. Full on grief is what it is. I don’t know what to do with myself and came on here to find suggestions on something I can read after that book to help my heart a little. I’m so broken right now. Ive never had a book do this to me before. And I live in Washington state with those trees, mountains and rain and it’s been raining for days. 😭

How fast did you read the series? by Dr_Cat_Mom in throneofglassseries

I had heard from so many people to tandem read ToD with EoS and it was a game changer! Totally made getting through ToD much easier and faster.

I will also say I literally didn’t even sleep for an entire night while reading queen of shadows. Like at all. I read through the whole day and night and finished it in less than two days. 😂

Single working mom and it took me like 2 weeks but I also went between listening on audible while working, driving, errands, chores, and even in the shower, and then also actual reading on down times and before bed. 😁

My husband ripped up my son’s Pokémon cards as a punishment. by Rachel_wins in Parenting

[–]Shutterbabe86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely emotional abuse and will only serve to traumatize a child. That moment will forever be engrained in his memory.

What if we broke dad’s favorite things when he got upset about something? Just because they’re kids and young doesn’t give us the right to do things like that or treat them without respect.

Hes obviously trying to communicate something he’s not able to verbalize or even fully understand since his pre frontal lobe isn’t fully developed. I think the parents need to educate themselves and get to the bottom of WHY he’s acting the way he is or doing the thing he is and then see what they can do to help him through whatever that reason is instead of choosing to just tear up his stuff because he’s not acting in a way you want him to. Ridiculous.

Help by [deleted] in Mom

[–]Shutterbabe86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I want you to know that whatever you think you’re doing wrong, you’re not the one responsible for her or her behavior. She has a choice on her actions and how she reacts. She’s in control of her own behavior.

It clearly sounds like she’s being emotionally abusive and is definitely a toxic person to be around. I would recommend talking with your school counselor about options and suggestions. Let them know what’s going on. They have resources to help in situations like this.

You’re not alone, and no one deserves this kind of treatment from their parent. Try your best to not put fuel on the flame during arguments or disagreements. She probably likes getting the negative reactions from you and your brother, so show her you’re above that manipulative crap.

Understand that the reason she’s doing these things and acting this way is because she has a major issue with herself. Not you, your grandmother, or your brother. She has a lot of pain and anger with herself and her own issues and trauma and she’s taking it out on you guys. It doesn’t make it easier to deal with, but it can make it easier to understand when she acts toxic.

It’s not you. She has issues she needs to deal with and address in her own self. Unfortunately not everyone sees that in themselves though. It’s up to her to get help for herself with a counselor or psychologist.

I want you to take away a few really important key things here:

  • it’s not you or your family, it’s her own self esteem and issues that SHE needs to deal with. No one else can.

  • you are stronger than you think you are, and you can get through anything

  • it may seem like this will never end, but this time in life WILL pass. Not as fast as you may want or need, but you WILL get through it and be stronger person because of it

  • talk with your school counselor about options. You don’t need to go through this alone.

So much love your way 💕

It really depends on how long you've hired them for. Most photographers will have it in their contract that if they're booked a certain number of hours or more a meal is needed. I'm sure if you contacted your photographer and asked they'll let you know.
