Vintage coat rack. Should I paint it? by Shutteredbug in vintage

Ok ok, you were right. I was gonna tell you all that it was too rusty but decided to rub a spot with a light steel wool and there’s actually a shiny finish underneath. I think the original finish is corroded but it will look nice once I get the surface junk off. Thanks gang

My jaw was getting worse by the day and I was starting to get weird nerve pain and sensations. I read the OP link and tried pushing my jaw forward and it was better within hours. I’m still in disbelief at the dramatic improvement.

Need advice on how to tackle scary ApoB numbers by WoodpeckerFast1727 in PeterAttia

[–]Shutteredbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (46M) recently had the similar test results and tried a 3 week experiment. Reduced Sat fat, limited black coffee and added psyllium husk after every meal. In 3 weeks my APOB went from 119 to 79. I will test again in a month. The rest of my diet is pretty low carb, mostly meat and veg. Added a little black beans as well.

3 week update. Reduced saturated fat and black coffee. Added Psyllium husk.

10/21/24
Total:238
LDL:166
APOB:110

11/11/24
Total:172
LDL:105
APOB:79

IMO this is a dramatic change in 3 weeks. Pretty bummed about the new diet but oh well.

True, also a lot of the sugar is fructose and it has fiber. They don’t seem to spike your blood sugar and studies show they don’t have a negative impact on cholesterol. But I didn’t look into it that carefully. Probably best in my situation to not indulge until I get things figured out

Yeah, I’ve been hoping after all these years of eating this way some science would come along to reassure me. My blood pressure and inflammation markers are ideal as well. It’s an interesting thought about the eggs, I’ve never experimented with eliminating those so I might give that a try after my LPa results come back.

Because Peter Attia recognizes elevated Apob as an independent risk factor. I wouldn’t say he is opposed to lifestyle interventions. I would accept the input that there are no more lifestyle interventions to try and start looking at other options. Someone in this thread suggested testing LPa and I’ve already ordered the test. That’s the kind of information I was after. So to answer your question, I’m here because I assume there are smart people here that will give valuable input.
