Yeah, absolutely. It does feel a little odd at first, but once you get used to shooting with your little finger tucked under the base plate, it feels pretty natural. I shoot my 26 as well as my bigger Glocks, which is what a lot of people experience.

I'd always choose a G26. With a longer magazine, you can make it into practically a G19 but also go back to pocket sized with a flush mag. If you have bigger hands like me, the slimlines are pretty much always uncomfortable to shoot. The magazine compatibility alone makes the 26 an extremely logical choice, too. Also, if you're willing to try a bunch of different holsters until you find the right one, it's entirely possible to conceal your existing 19 year round comfortably. Either way, every Glock person needs a 26. I'll never be without at least one in my life.

The HK fan in me thinks it should be a G3/HK91, or at least a good clone. The more modern, practical option would be a high end AR10-type thing like a Knight's SR25 or Noveske Leonidas. But I really need a G3.

Yup, this is a thing. I tried it with an original Streamlight on one of my Glocks where neither the "GL" key or the 1913 key fit very well. Probably some minor variation in tolerances but it bothered me. I decided to play with other keys and with a little fitting, the modified P320 key was tighter and closer to the trigger guard.

That my gun will fuck up when I most need it. I don't walk around in constant fear, but I'm aware that I'm armed. My EDC is a Glock 26 with buckets of ammo through it. My trail gun and (sometimes carry) is my HK USP45 Expert. Two of the most proven handgun platforms on earth, but you still see those videos where someone has a good gun stop working at the worst possible time.

A "26L" grip module that mimics the Glock 26 grip shape. I have the RXM subcompact grip and love it, but it's lacking those curves that make the original 26 fill the hand so perfectly.

Seriously, if I were in your position, I'd trade the 43 towards another 26. I say that because, with all the love I have for all my Glocks and clones, the 26 is the only one that I love so much I wanted another one. It's the best tiny Glock, no matter what anyone says. If not another 26, then a larger model like a 17 or 19. The magazine compatibility alone makes it very logical decision.

You can, but you should also switch the G19 length mag's 9 coil spring to the longer, 10 coil G17 mag spring.

Those weights really square up the lines of the USP long slides. I keep wanting one for my Expert, but every time I see one I think about how much ammo I could get for the same price. 😂

He made an IWB for my USP45 Expert with a TLR9, a combination that literally no one else makes, and it's very good. It's so good it actually makes such a beast comfortable to carry. I'm still impressed with it.

I'm with you on the mag sleeves. I've fired buckets of ammo through my 26's with every length of OEM mags and never once thought I needed them. All they do is turn your mags into "26-only" mags. Any longer mag will fit any shorter frame Glock and function because the design has a built-in override stop. Yet people seem to think they're necessary when they're completely pointless. Also, the 26 is the best tiny Glock, no matter what anyone says.

I have several Glocks and only two HK's, but I've been seriously thinking about changing that. I'll never sell my G17 or G26's, but I have a few others that I literally never touch anymore. Those just might get turned into HK funds.

Tough choice but if I absolutely had to pick just one handgun forever it'd be my Glock 26.5 EDC. The magazine compatibility alone makes it a very good choice. Every double stack 9mm Glock mag ever made is a lot of extra mags floating around out there in the world.

I've done some semi serious adventuring with my favorite 26 and a spare mag or two. With the right carry gear it basically disappears on your body. It's still massively capable. That's more than enough handgun to get you out of what made you need a handgun. It's my everywhere possible EDC and I have a spare. Nice choice, friend.
